Beware - You won't get what you paid for and you won't get a response or compensation when you advise you didn't get what you paid for. Stay away from booking this tour. I am a travel advisor and I booked it for a client with Viator. It clearly stated English speaking guide, otherwise I would have never booked it and would have booked a small group shared tour that was less then one third of the cost. Sadly my client received a driver only that only spoke Ukranian. My client spoke French and asked if he spoke french since no English and he said no. Since this was a highlight for my client and his grandson, they were so disappointed. The driver used a translator on his phone that was horrible and not translated accurately, so they were guessing what to do and how to proceed at each stop. The worst part of this is when I wrote Viator and asked for a refund since it clearly wasn't what the client paid for. I was told multiple times by Viator that they confirmed the services were provided. I advised over and over, he drove them but didn't speak one word of English. So how is this a private guided English speaking tour. They responded again that it the client received all the services. I wasn't advising the client didn't get tickets and didn't get dropped off for every sight advised as a visit. He didn't have an English speaking guide which it clearly stated on the voucher and on the website for Viator. So beware and don't book anything with Clewel travel as they knew what happened during the tour and proceeded to say they supplied the booked service. I will also no longer book Viator because they didn't back the product that they allow to be sold on their site. They finally came back and gave the client 25% refund on this service after I advised to at least refund them 50% considering they got less than half a tour a driver and no English guide.

What an amazing moment in our lives. Rustam, our tour guide, we nicknamed “Rusty” was amazing as he orchestrated our time with video prior to reaching destinations, elaborated on activities and guided us providing us ample time to experience locations. Rustam was not only well-spoken but, he was so much fun and we didn’t want the tour to end. It was not just about the tour, it was about people and here is a winner. Cheers! Pointe du Hoc was amazing. Best part of the trip. Unfortunately, our guide did not speak English (which it stated they would in the description). We had hoped for someone to actually “guide” us, but our driver would take us to each point and then explain in very broken English what time we needed to be back at the car. He was very nice and the car was clean & comfortable, which is great for a long day of driving. But for the money, I don’t feel we got what we paid for.

The guides setup a full-day tour nicely, it allowed us to visit the top 5 sites in Normandy and still get us back to Paris before 9pm.

Matthew_M

The entire day was informative and enjoyable. Seeing the sites and learning more about the history was great. Rustam was a top notch guide and went above and beyond to make sure that the trip was a great experience for everyone.

Be advised, this is not a "guided" tour so much as transport to the mentioned places. There was no traditional guide, just a driver who's English was good, but not great. He was not able to offer any information along the journey about the places along the way. Instead, you are taken to each stop, and you can browse on your own. We were expecting a guided tour based on the description of a "guide-driver". This is a fairly expensive taxi ride. That said, the stops were great, and the driver was courteous and did his best to take care of us.

While traveling to Normandy, Valerie share an enormous amount of interesting information on the history leading up to D-Day. She was professional, courteous and informative. We are so happy we took the day to travel to Normandy and Valerie was a delight!

Got to see many highlights of the Normandy beaches and American Cemetery at Omaha Beach. Our time was limited and this tour was ideal for a one day experience.
