Holger exceeded our expectations with this private tour of Potsdam! Excellent tour guide and so informative! Holger reached out prior to our tour to confirm details, he was there early, ready to pick my Dad and I up in Berlin and provided great (and thought provoking!) information to Potsdam and around the city, stopping at various famous (or infamous) locations along the way, answering our questions honestly and respectfully as we travelled. He went above and beyond to share different sides of different issues and how it affected the country in the Cold War era and today. We ended up staying longer than the tour in Potsdam (amazing city!) and Holger helped us at the train station making sure we could find our way back to Berlin. My Dad and I have seen a lot on our trip through several countries in Europe but he still says the Potsdam tour was his favorite! Would HIGHLY recommend, especially for anyone with an interest in 18th, 19th or 20th century Germany - it's a must! Thank you Holger!

Our life history is inexplicably influenced by WWII and the Cold War so the opportunity to visit the site of the Potsdam Conference and the Bridge of Spies with a local Potsdamer was perfect. And Holger was an incredibly interesting, well versed guide who toured us in his old style, but new, van. Once you board her you are transported into the Soviet era and Holger added his family’s stories of life in Eastern Berlin and reunification to further enhance our understanding. Great tour!

My two friends and I went on a private Potsdam day tour with Holger, and the tour was wonderful. Holger knows the city well, and was informative and helpful. He was very accommodating and responsive to our needs and requests, and went above and beyond in helping me get my phone repaired, which decided to die right at the start of the tour. I also liked the fact that, prior to my visit, Holger always promptly answered my e-mails and questions. I will absolutely hire Holger for another tour the next time I am in Berlin.

Brilliant Day, collected in the Soviet Van and then I full day touring lots of places all to do with the Occupation of Berlin. I’m a bit knowledgeable on Cold War Berlin, but Holga still found tales and stories I didn’t know. Even my wife was entertained and found the whole day enjoyable. A thrilling experience from a well experienced and knowledgeable guide and I will be back to extract more information and to be shown even more places. 10/10
