What to expect

Do you want to learn about the plants, animals and fungi of the Rocky Mountains while going on a scenic hike? This is your chance to get outside with an avid guide and forager with over a decade of experience teaching and guiding in the outdoors. We will start with introductions at the trailhead, then proceed to hike and identify plants, animals, fungi and more as we go! With an emphasis on edible, medicinal and poisonous plants, you will have my expertise as well as a library of regional guides to help you get to know the cast of characters that make up our local flora and fungi. My goal is for you to feel more empowered to connect with nature, find your own food and wildcraft your own medicine, or at the very least impress your friends on your next hike! What to expect: -An easy to moderate difficulty hike in a gorgeous setting with an experienced forager and guide. -A focus on plant and fungi identification, uses and fun facts. -Trailside nibbles. You may also eat and/or taking home wild edible plants and fungi we find where applicable. -Use of full color guides to help you sleuth out plants and start building a mental profile -walk away knowing many local edible plants
