Durlston Country Park
Durlston Country Park The countryside of the Park is open all year round, from sunrise to sunset. Durlston Country Park at the start of our journey which includes Durlston Castle and the Great Globe are worth a visit on the way to Corfe Castle. From a Saxon stronghold and Norman Fortress to a royal Palace the castle and the town are steeped in history
Corfe Castle

Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door
We pass by Lulworth Cove a stunning secluded cove which owes its existence to the collision of the continents and is considered one of the best places in the world to study geology. A short walk along a sweeping expanse of secluded cove which is perfect for picnicking and relaxation you reach Durdle Door is a limestone arch rising out of the aquamarine water at 200 feet high with.
Chesil Bank (Chesil Beach)
From here we look west over the 18 miles of Chesil beach and the southernmost tip of the Jurassic Coast. With its 3 castles and 3 lighthouses, this little island packs a punch!
Isle of Portland
Continuing westwards we reach Weymouth a famous seaside town located at the mouth of the River Way, much of its architecture was constructed in the Georgian and Regency period (1770 and 1855) and the Isle of Portland an explorer’s Island with curiosities of history and folklore just waiting to be discovered.
Abbotsbury Abbey Remains
Continuing our journey along Chesil Beach you pass the village of Abbotsbury once home to a richly endowed abbey, founded in 1044. Situated in a wooded, sheltered valley close to Chesil beach is Abbotsbury Gardens where these natural conditions create a microclimate where rare plant species unusual to England grow
West Bay
As our journeys comes to its conclusion, we visit the famous town where Broadchurch was filmed! On our way to Westbay in the Market town of Bridport. The golden strata of nearby East Cliff are one of the most distinctive features of the Jurassic Coast, and the area is very popular with walkers. East Beach has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and forms the end of Chesil Beach, which extends 18 miles south west from the Isle of Portland. The cliffs here are very unstable, so it’s important to keep well clear of the cliff edges and bases.
