There are many memorable highlights. Favorite part is winding through Iron Mountain Rd, seeing the Mt Rushmore carving from various vintage points, and hearing the history of how Governor Peter Nobeck planned the route this way. Also looking at wildlife driving through Custard State Park. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enhanced our experience of the sights.

I had a private tour with Daniel. He was extremely knowledgeable and conversational and which made the all day trip such fun along with a learning experience throughout. Highly recommend this tour!

We spent 2 amazing days touring with My XO Adventures - the Mt. Rushmore/Crazy Horse/Custer State Park and Badlands Golden Hour tours. Owner Daniel Milks was our guide and we couldn't have been more pleased or impressed. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the natural world and the people who settled it. We weren't interested in the "cowboys and Indians" schtick of larger tour companies and particularly appreciated his respect for and knowledge of the Lakota people. Daniel also knows the back roads and out-of-the way sites/vistas and we spent the 2 days seeing one amazing site after another. He also knows Badlands National Park like the back of his hand. The Badlands Golden Hour tour was a perfect way to experience the beauty and majesty of this unique setting, as we drove throughout the park enjoying the different views as the sun was going down. The highlight of the trip came after dark, as Daniel knew the perfect place to enjoy the nighttime sky. We did it in style, lying on blankets and pads and soaking in the beauty and vastness of the nighttime sky with no obstruction from ambient light. My XO Adventures is a first-rate tour company that was easy to work with and that provided us with 2 unforgettable days in western South Dakota. We recommend them without hesitation.

We were so lucky booking the tour with My XO, because by surprised happy that our tour guide, Dave who was not only knowledgable and informative, but also he was enthusiastic and passionate for the job. We enjoyed that Dave told us many rich history of every where we visited, from Mt. Rushmore to sweeping landscapes, rock scenery and exotic wildlife. Highly recommend for My XO and Dave, the wonderful tour guide!

I made arrangements for three of us to spend the day with My XO Adventures. We are all in your 70’s and my wife has mobility problems. We were concerned she might not be able to get around or ride all day without her back giving out. We wanted our private tour guide. Daniel assured us the SUV we were going to be riding in was comfortable and he could adjust the tour so we could still see all the sights with a rollator. Unfortunately, three weeks before our trip, one member of our party had to cancel due to a death in the family. That only left two of us. Daniel was very understanding, accommodating, and provided a full refund for our missing party member. When Daniel picked us up at our hotel the day of our tour, we knew we had made the right choice. Daniel spent the entire day showing us around the Crazy Horse, Rushmore, and Custer State Park. He was very accommodating and deviated from his planned tour to meet our needs and desires. We learned and saw so much in the day we had with him. It was the highlight of our three week trip. He could not have been more professional and gracious. We can’t say he was the best since we only have a data point of one, but we can say we don’t know how the day could have gone better. Talking to friends who have taken tours in the area, there are less expensive tours that are more theatrical in nature, but they are regimented and lack flexibility to meet individual needs. If you want an educational, accommodating tour, My XO Adventurers is the tour for you. In the future as we travel the West, we will definitely use them any time they are available.

The tour was perfect for us! We enjoyed sitting back and taking in all the beautiful sights without the stress of navigating thru the twists and turns of narrow roads if we drove ourselves! Very enjoyable and informative!

Wide range of sites & a lot of information given for a memorable tour. Would do this tour again. Would recommend this tour for any age group.

We did two different tours. Barbara Jean took us to Mount Rushmore/Custer State Park/Crazy Horse Memorial. Daniel took us to see the sunset over the Badlands. Both were amazing guides! Highly recommend!!
