Your Itinerary

Positano

We will pick you up in Sorrento directly in your hotel/b&b/etc. to go to the amazing Amalfi Coast to admire its natural beauty. The first stop is Positano: a place where romance and wonder come together. The characteristic views and small streets will take us to Praiano and the other small towns of the coast. Each stop lasts approximately one hour in which you can go shopping, have lunch and of course stroll in the beautiful areas that our driver will recommend. Obviously, upon request, the driver will be able to give advice on what to do, where to go and above all where to stop for an ice cream or a snack, after all we are in Italy, here we eat!

Amalfi

The second stop is in Amalfi: let yourself be enchanted by its eternal beauty and its cathedral, learning the history of the small town that gives its name to the whole coast. Here, too, you can stop independently for an hour where you can go shopping and take lots of photographs by the coast's most famous sea.

Ravello

After we will move to Ravello, a point of spectacular views from the top of the beautiful Villa Rufolo which has, through its garden, inspired many composers and writers. As a town it is less famous, but thanks to this it still retains the beauty of the past.

We used Ironman tours based on a recommendation from a local colleague for all of our transfers from Naples to Sorrento and the private all day tour to amalfi coast. Our driver Rafaelle was awesome in terms of taking us around and avoiding tourist traps. His recommendations on restaurants including Naples pizzeria near the station was awesome ! Highly recommend them for comfortable way to tour the amalfi coast.

Our driver Igor picked us up from Salerno and was very informative, he spoke perfect English , our first stop Ravello . Enough time for a coffee and pastry and walk around . Our second stop Amalfi for 1 hour enough time to walk the streets and have lunch and shop of course .Our third stop Positano another beautiful town enough time to walk the streets and down to the beach . It was value for money and Igor told us the history of all the towns we passed and didn’t stop in . It was a lovely day and we saw more this way than doing it on our own . I would definitely recommend this company .

Luca was a terrific guide and great driver (as well as a nice person). All of his suggestions were spot on. The crowds were insane in Positano and Amalfi, but much less so in Ravello - which was absolutely enchanting. A must do!

We hired a private car for a family group of 7 to experience for the first time the Amalfi Coast. As American travelers that speak no Italian, we required an English speaking driver. Our tour guide was very flexible for our start time, including start time adjustments the night before. On the way we learned about the cultural significance of the region, some Italian and all the neat and secret photo opportunities on the road to Positano. Our guide also checked with us for any modifications to the proposed tour itinerary and duration of stops. Other options were also proposed, e.g. boat tours in Amalfi, that our guide seamlessly organized en route. At each stop, little tips and recommendations from our guide enabled us to enjoy Positano, Amalfi and Ravello just as a local would. We enjoyed immensely this experience of a lifetime, lead by our pleasant, polite and cheerful guide who has a deep love of the region. We highly recommend this tour for those short on time and based in Sorrento.

Fantastic tour with Rafelle today. We enjoyed all of the towns along the Analfi Coast. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Rafelle was willing to do whatever would make us have the best experience. Our driver picked us up at 8am from Sorrento and returned a little after 4pm. Stops at Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Driver spoke good English and provided local information along the way. He also asked if we had any specific plans along the Amalfi coast, and he would help accommodate us. We simply asked and were given advice on where to go and what to look for at each stop. What a memorable exerience using Iron Man Travel for our coastal tour of the Amalfi coast. Giuseppe was our driver & added that extra touch to make the tour perfect! He is Professional, Personable, prompt and by far the best driver I have ever met. For anyone who has travelled the Amalfi Coast or been to Italy knows how difficult it is to maneuver around the streets and he was amazing! We also used IronMan Travel for pick up and drop off at the train station and Giuseppe and Antonio made it very easy. There is not enough to say about this company. My husand and son said Giuseppe made it feel like we were with family. You would be missing out if you used another company.

Went on the tour on 5th November with my wife. Antonio turned up bang on time and was an extremely pleasant and helpful guide - it was more like a friend giving you a tour of his neighbourhood ! There were only 4 of us in the group in a Mercedes minivan. The minivan could have fit another 3 at the most - as anyone who has had the dubious pleasure of being on a coach tour will tell you ,small groups are the way to go !! We made several stops at good viewpoints for pictures, a stop at a ceramic shop and 3 one hour stops in Positano,Ravello and Amalfi. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our day with Antonio and two charming Canadian ladies . We Would heartily recommend 👍👍👍

Having travelled to Sorrento independently, we didn't have any packaged trips for our recent holiday and decided to spend a day exploring the Amalfi coast. Our Airbnb host arranged an excursion for us through Iron Man Travel and we were so impressed by the service we received. Toni arrived on time, smartly dressed in his spotless Mercedes saloon and just took the best care of us during our day out. Italy is quite well known for crazy drivers but Toni was probably one of the calmest drivers that any of us had ever come across - despite the busy roads and hairpin bends we felt totally safe and at ease throughout the trip. Toni explained the intended structure of the day to check that it would meet our expectations in terms of time spent in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello and the stops that would be made along the way for some excellent photo opportunities. At our request, we also popped into a well-known ceramics outlet for some retail therapy. He checked whether we had plans for lunch. We asked him for some recommendations and then took the opportunity to eat at an excellent restaurant in Scala - the oldest village on the Amalfi coast and just across the valley from Ravello. We were really impressed by Toni's knowledge of the area and enjoyed his good humour, anecdotes and general demeanour - he was very professional and made the whole day interesting, informative and thoroughly enjoyable. The most surprising thing is that it only cost each of us five euros more than a similar trip would have cost on a minibus of twelve people - such good value for a very personalised and exceptional service. We can't recommend Toni and Iron Man Travels highly enough and would certainly use them again in the future. Thanks again Toni! Brenda, Heather and Phyllis
