Oh my goodness! I just looked at my bookings on my current trip and saw I failed to leave a review for this tour. We were very impressed with the historical knowledge that was given to us as we traveled throughout the area. Our guide was very thoughtful and made every effort to take us to the sites that mattered most to us. In addition, we were taken to a lovely restaurant for a much needed break and sustenance! Following our last stop and before being taken to the train station, he was kind enough to take us to a grocery store so we could buy provisions for our long train ride back to Paris. Best picnic in a long time!

We had a wonderful 8 hour tour with John taking in all the D Day sights. He was extremely knowledgeable about the activities of the WWII that surrounded the landing at Normandy, both on the beaches and the surrounding countryside. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an account of what happened during this amazing time in history!!

This tour was everything I hoped for and more. Eric, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He was attentive and accommodating. Eric spent extra time at Omaha Beach because that’s where my Dad landed on June 6, 1944 with “The Big Red One” and he knew it was important to me. He showed me in detail where my Dad landed and the route he took to the church where they set up camp. He highlighted a map of my Dad’s journey for me to see and keep. Eric also brought a humanness to the stories he told about all the different types of landings in the invasion and to the different sides of the war. I would highly recommend this tour!

Arthur, our guide, was perfect! Knowledgeable and delightful. It was exactly what we were looking for! His passion for history added to his presentation. He was personable and we felt so comfortable asking anything! We wanted to specifically go to the area of the beach where my husbands father had been on an LCI and he took us exactly there!

Katell was an absolutely amazing guide. Our group included a history major and multiple people with a lot of historical knowledge. She was so informative and ready to answer all the questions we had. I'm so glad Katell was our guide!

We had a two-day private tour with Alex. Thorough, thoughtful, detailed and enlightening visits and insights to Juno, Omaha and Gold beach invasions. My only regret is that we didn't have longer. We are big fans of one-on-one tours and Alex was as good as one can get. Simply terrific two days! Thank you, Alex and Gold Beach Company.

Great and interesting tour - wonderful guide who took us to places we would not have known to go on our own. Highly recommended.

Alex was a wonderful tour guide! He researched where we wanted to go since we had a person in our group whose Dad had parachuted in on D-Day. He was thorough, funny, and a wealth of knowledge. We spent two days with him and he picked out great lunch spots! I highly recommend him!
