    We booked this tour with Di Sarno Car Services through TripAdvisor. Although this tour is designed to operate from Naples the company agreed that they would pick us up from Sorrento. I would advise to check with them first. The driver, Giovanni, arrived on time and spoke good English. He was excellent throughout the tour and modified it to suit our requirements. Nothing was a problem for him. We would certainly use them again if we return to this stunning part of Italy.

    What a great relief to have selected this tour! Visiting Pompeii has been on my son’s bucket list for 5+ years! Then as we were planning our trip to Italy he commented he’d also like to go to Mt Vesuvius. Hiring a driver seemed the best way to go. Salvatore was assigned our trip and he was fantastic! A great communicator. He gave us historical information on the drives. He gave us prompt instructions for meeting times and locations for when we were done self-touring the diff stops of Pompeii, Mt Vesuvius and Herculaneum. Best of all (for me!) is he gave an amazing recommendation for a fantastic limoncello vendor and it DID NOT disappoint! It was EXACTLY what I’d hoped for so I could have some shipped back to the US. Herculaneum is much smaller- easy to do in about 1.5-2hr. Mt Vesuvius took about 25min climb to top from the top lot drop off point. Maybe a little further if you walk all the way to end point around the crater. So 1.5hr was fine for us. Our only wish was that we’d chosen to spend more time in Pompeii. We had no idea how big it was!! Our ticket entrance time to Mt Vesuvius was 1:30, which allowed us more time in Pompeii than expected (and so very needed!). The only suggestion I’d have is for us to be given some recommendations of which stops have the casts, otherwise we almost missed it. However, I don’t dock the company for this bc we didn’t hire a tour guide, we hired a driver and Salvatore was great! Easy to understand. Very accommodating. Had cold waters ready for us in an air-conditioned van. Took us to the top lot for drop off on the mtn. Gave a great recommendation for sandwiches since we wanted to have take away to spend more time at locations. Oh! And communication with the tour company was very helpful and with prompt replies leading up to our trip - guiding me where to purchase entry tickets in advance! Would highly recommend again and again to use this company!

    We had the BEST day with Cesare! He didn't just drive us to the sites, he gave us color and historical background. He also gave us very good guidance on how to best work our way through the sites.

    Giovanni our driver was very courteous and made sure we had plenty of time to do and see the things we wanted. He got us back to the ship in plenty of time. If we come back we would most definitely ask for him again!

    Giovanni was terrific. Good English, knowledgeable, and flexible. He gave us great information and helped us find great guide at the last minute at Pompeii (Daniel). Made a long, exciting day relaxing and doable. The van was super comfortable for four people and clean.
