The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of Pisa Cathedral. It is known for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation.

The Piazza dei Miracoli is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the center of Pisa, Italy. It was built in the 13th century and is covered in beautiful marble sculptures. The design of the building highlights its purpose. The main square, the base of the piazza, includes a series of arches which are topped with statues that represent: Michael and Lucifer, David and Goliath, Samson and Hercules.The Piazza dei Miracoli was designed by an architect named Matteo Nigetti and built between 1225-1250.
