Stefan was really approachable and friendly. He provided clear descriptions of Sachsenhausen concentration camp, the background context, and post war events. He also included stories of key people throughout the tour that made the information more accessible and emphasised the tragedies that happened. Overall it was a very insightful learning experience!

Stefan, our guide, helped navigate us through the Sachsenhausen Memorial Museum but more than 2.5 hours’ time was needed to appreciate this historically significant site. We briskly went through most of the site’s buildings and exhibits and while we walked away with a solemn sense of the atrocities taken place at this site, we also wished for a sensible pace to view more of the carefully laid out displays. We overheard some interesting facts and historical events from the other tour guides too so it was good our small group of 6 was able to move about and hear those tidbits. The area with the remnants of cremation ovens was quite haunting. Worth every moment to tour this place and we highly recommend it. The Museum also offers group tours for consideraction.

We highly recommend this private tour, especially early in your visit. The minivan ride to and from Berlin provided added time to learn about Berlin and some German history from our guide and our driver. Our guide Markus was EXCELLENT! So knowledgeable. So committed to telling the story of Sachsenhausen. So inspiring to hear his concern for keeping Germany's horrifying past front and center in the minds of the world. Our twenty-something children were especially moved by the experience and Markus's information. We are also so grateful for his help in orienting us to Berlin for the rest of our visit.

Our tour guide, Axil, was terrific. Throughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to all. Took the tour on September 17.

Great tour with deep insight into the infamous camp...You can feel the ghosts of Berlin... The rooms and walls tell the story of being denied your freedom.

This review is for the Sightseeing Point Berlin tour of Sachenhausen Memorial (Concentration Camp) with Horst as our guide. We were picked up at our hotel in Berlin, 4 of us in a minivan. After 1 hour travel time, it was 2 hours of guided time at the camp with a 1-hour return. Everything was smooth and according to plan. Horst, our guide was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and sensitive to the horrors of what we are seeing. He had a great perspective having grown up in Germany during the time of communism, with relatives who had been through the war. We were a couple traveling with our 2 teenaged boys, ages 13 and 16, and he made a special effort to include them in the conversation and offer commentary and questions relevant to their age. The site has a very large number of exhibits that would take all day to go through. Horst led us through a carefully chosen selection which allowed us to get a good overall perspective in a short amount of time. I highly recommend this tour as a way to better understand a terrible time in human history, and to keep the memory alive to ensure it never happens again.
