Our driver arrived early (excellent!) and was so professional and we had a wonderful experience with him. I think his name was Giuseppe. He drove safely and was pleasant to converse with along our trip to the airport. We felt very safe and secure and he helped load and unload our bags.

In the past several years we have spent thousands of dollars ($4,200 USD since September 2023) through Viator booking tours in multiple countries in Europe as well as the U.S. This booking was a simple transfer from a hotel to an airport. In the past we rarely have issues with tours through Viator and we use their services for security and 'peace of mind'. Please note all of us pay at least 30% more booking through Viator compared to booking directly with a tour operator. (I had many personal conversations with the operators over the last several years) Please never use this 'taxi' service. 'Taxi Barcelona' Why? -booked days prior to the needed service -according to the Viator site, we should have received confirmation of the time and pickup point once booked- this is critical when needing a ride to the airport -sent several messages through Viator to contact the tour operator with no success -contacted Viator customer service in advance and they were to reach out to the tour company - still no response from operator -I believe this operator subcontracts the rides out to independent drivers -asked Viator (via phone) to cancel 22 hours prior to transfer since we received no confirmation from operator -Viator would not cancel or refund my money even after explaining the situation that we did not receive a confirmation from the taxi company and did not know if we would have a ride to the airport to make our flight -did not receive proof the driver was in the requested location at the correct time I do not usually write reviews, but I feel the public needs to realize there is not always security and 'peace of 'mind' when using Viator and operators that do not have a proven track record of success. I suppose I should have proceeded with caution before booking when I only saw 1 review. I will write a separate review about Viator on Google and BBB. The way they handled the situation is unacceptable. I have spoken to multiple non-decision makers that just cannot or do not care to resolve the issue. Viator took $122 of my 'Viator reward money' (that I earned by spending lots of $$$) and are trying to take another $49 from my credit card company. As a business owner, I do not understand Viator's lack of customer service and why they would rather lose a customer who spends thousands of dollars in a year and would continue to spend over a $171 dispute.

Our driver was on time. He was very pleasant. We were saying good bye to Sicily heading for the Catania Airport. I will recommend the driver to anyone. We will return next year & I have his business card.
