    We had an amazing experience on our city tour! The value for money was unbeatable. Our guide, Diogo, was fantastic - he was incredibly flexible and organised the tour around our specific interests. He took us to beautiful places that we would never have discovered on our own. Diogo speaks excellent English and is extremely friendly, answering all our questions thoroughly. He even gave us extra tips for the rest of our trip in Portugal. I would highly recommend this tour.

    We began our day perfectly with a stroll through Mercado do Bolhão. Following Tomo's guide, we explored the city and visited some wonderful spots and of course stopped at the remarkable Livraria de Lello to enjoy the finest pastéis de nata at Manteigaria. It was an ideal half-day tour to experience life in Porto and Tomo made it very special with his positive and attentive personality. Thanks Tomo for looking after us !

    We had an exceptional experience on the private walking tour with our guide Diogo last week. He’s born and grown up in Porto, his extensive knowledge and passion for the city's history and culture truly brought Porto to life. Diogo’s personable approach and insightful stories made the tour both engaging and informative. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Porto. Five stars!

    I only did the first third of this walk, but that was no fault of our amazing tour guide, Diogo! Born and raised in Porto, and an avid world traveler, Diogo's passion for his city was palpable. He communicated clearly the night before through What's App. The morning of, I asked to change our meeting location from the train station to our hotel lobby, and that was no problem at all. We planned the tour for 9 AM the day after we flew 19 hours on two flights from Austin, Texas. We knew we only had one morning available to tour the city before boarding our river cruise that afternoon. This, in hindsight, was poor planning on my part. I woke up shaky, jetlagged, and not feeling great... But thought a little walk may be a great start to my morning. We walked first to the train station which is STUNNING! Then, up to an overview of the city, then up again and across a bridge, then down to the waterfront winding through the very place where the locals now live on gorgeous cobblestone streets. The weather was fantastic and Diogo was happy to answer any questions. Fair warning, I had NO idea how hilly the city was. These are not your average streets that roll gently up and down... these are serious and steep inclines with little to no relief. Maybe on another day I would have been better suited for it? But I was not feeling well AT ALL and had to stop just about an hour after our tour began. I suggested my husband continue. He said he didn't want to do it without me, but later admitted it was more strenuous than he was expecting, too. To Diogo's credit, he was more than willing to stop and wait- take our time- go slowly, but it was a no-go for me that morning. Since then, Diogo has contacted me twice to see if I was doing better and showed true concern. I am doing better and actually had time to return to see Lello bookstore (what was to be one of the highlights on this walking tour) on our last day in Porto - this time, I took an Uber to the top. Ha!
