On the foundations of this bridge, is Mile 0, the place from where Fernando de Magallanes departed with five ships looking for the islands of spices, the Moluccas. This trip would end 3 years later, making the first round the world, with which it would be shown that the earth was round.

Iglesia de Santa Ana

This church was built by King Alfonso X thanks to the intercession of the Virgin of Santa Ana for the cure of the disease he suffered in the eyes. This church contains in its interior a painting with Saints Justa and Rufina where we can see the first crane that existed in the Port of Seville.

RĆo Guadalquivir

The Guadalquivir River witnessed the journeys that began at the time of the Discoveries. Today it is the fifth longest river in Spain.

Castillo de San Jorge

This castle that had in its interior the seat of the Court of the Holy Office whose activity was in full swing during the trips to unknown lands.

Reales Atarazanas

The shipyards were the shipyards where the ships were built, constituting a naval property (the largest known in the late Middle Ages) dependent on the Crown.

Royal Mint of Seville

In this building the metal that came from the Indies was melted and supervised (in the royal hornazas, where the furnaces were), converted into coins and then distributed throughout Europe. This house hired two hundred people for this function. The house was found in a courtyard where we currently find the La FundiciĆ³n Theater in honor of the function that the building once had.

Torre del Oro

It is a building that was built as an albarrana tower in the time of the Almohads to protect the city from attack by pirates, later being used as a customs building and controlling all the ships that entered and left the port area.
