Visited the museum and had no idea what to expect. When you get there, you are booked into a slot and have a set amount of time in each room, to read and listen to information about Lisbon at the time. If you missed anything, there is a band which you could tap for more information to be sent to your email, although I never received this. Overall, we found the museum underwhelming and think it's more catered for families.

Very interesting telling the history combined with fun immersed experience. Very friendly and efficient staff. The only thing that needs improvement is the stairs (socially the last one at the end of the experience) , there should be yellow tape and the end of each step for safety for the recent earthquake victims.

We have both been to several musuems and we can say that this one was a great surprise! We booked in advance via the website, we arrived before our scheduled time and the staff got us into an earlier group. We enjoyed the way that the musuem brings the information to life via storytelling and a little bit of mystery rather than the usual way that is expected from most museums. The projections and audio snippets were well designed and overall, we had a lot of fun. We recommend it to anyone that wants to try a different way of going through a musuem and we think it works well for both kids and adults alike. It has been really well designed and the little details are everywhere.

Really interactive and very interesting- learn such a lot about the earthquake and Tsunami that hit Lisbon in the 18th century. A super way to bring history alive for children. If you book in advance they can be really accommodating for people with limited mobility - than you to Luis who looked after me was really friendly and explained lots more to me !!! You need a minimum of 1 hour 40 mins but it really is time well spent.

A comprehensive and well-constructed exhibit explaining the context, severity, and aftermath of the massive earthquake. Good for kids, explaining what happened - but severe shaking, fires, screams, dead and crying people…use your judgement as to how difficult this might be for your littler ones. For adults, there are some interesting areas of information - and a gift shop.

Excellent interactive museum. You are on a room by room tour experiencing the science and the history of the Lisbon earthquake. Interactive displays teach the science behind earthquakes, followed by displays and videos showing what it would have been like to live through it. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I went to Quake Museum on recent visit to Lisbon. I enjoy history type museums and this one did not disappoint. The museum if busy so book tickets ahead of time. They walk you through the different steps leading up to the quake and its aftermath. There is part of when they recreate the actual quake and gets bouncy in the setting of a church and pews - think of minor coaster rocking you back and forth. It is very interesting and historical and provides great context on impact to Lisbon.

This was an interesting museum with some helpful historical background on Lisbon. The earthquake simulation was a bit underwhelming and it was fairly expensive, but overall well presented and I thought we had enough time in the various rooms.

A fascinating exhibition, well presented but we felt very rushed … ten minutes per display is not enough, but this is how the scheduling works. Certainly worthwhile, but be prepared to rush!
