Our guide Cal was not only a wealth of knowledge on what is now a really cool area of this fascinating and eclectic city, but from the get go made us feel safe, secure and welcomed into what could be perceived from reading guide books as an area to avoid! He wove brilliant tales, took us to dizzying heights for spectacular views and allowed us into another "underbelly" world off the main tourist trail that many visitors don't get to see. This is a must do for those who want to dig a bit deeper into the grit of Barcelona's dirty little secrets!

The tour was fantastic Eoghan our guide was exceptional in his knowledge of the area and Spainish history. He made the tour a highlight of our visit to Barcelona. He gave us ideas afterwards of where to eat and how to spend the rest of our afternoon. He was a lovely guy and we would recommend his tours to everyone.

This walk has so much potential but only delivered at a base level. The information provided was good but we moved so slowly from place to place that it felt like the walk could have been in half the time. Either that, or there needs to be much more content. The participants were fascinated by the street art that we passed - surely there are stories to tell about this? The content also did not ring true with the title - some stories could be considered dark, but others were just general history. Definitely needs fine tuning to make it a memorable experience for the right reasons.

I strongly recommend this tour with Andres. A lot of interesting information about a neighborhood with a turbulent history. We didn't realise when the two hours passed.
