We booked this trip last minute and were able to go out later that day. A half day was perfect for us and we were able to leave at 3pm and return at 8pm so didn’t take out one full day of our Madrid trip. However, the journey was disappointing. We had been told the journey would take around 50 minutes. We walked to the bus and hopped on but unfortunately there was an unexpected stop off on the way there for 15 minutes at a souvenir shop!!! We were not told this would happen. There was another stop to photograph a view and then almost 2 hours after leaving, we arrived at Toledo. We then dropped off those going on a guided tour and we were taken to another drop off point. At this stage we then had to follow a tour guide into the centre to an information shop to get given a map. Why can’t these maps be kept on the bus which would save a lot of time? We had a lovely walk round Toledo although only had about an hour and 15 minutes (half the time we had expected) before walking back to the coach. The coach was also picking us up from a different place than it dropped off which made further difficulty as much time was spent searching for this point. A lovely place to visit, but more journey information prior to the tour would have been appreciated.
