This was our 2nd tour with the company so we were optimistic it'd be another beautiful adventure but this one fell short due to our assigned tourguide While our driver, David, was fantastic, our guide was not. We have traveled around the world and been on many tours. She was the first tour guide who was clearly rushing us and made our experience not ideal. I will not mention her name here nor will i go into specifics because I don't think that's fair to her; however, I will say that our driver and the convenient port pick up with direct hotel transfer is why we gave this 3 stars instead of less. Our guide simply wasn't a good fit for our group, and if I was rating her alone, I would give her 0 or 1 star. Having said that, I still recommend this company and I'm confident our guide is not representative of the company themselves. I would still book with this company again; however, I would ask more questions about the guide assigned especially if any in your traveling party have mobility difficulties or you have younger children who may need more time to get around. The pick up and drop off is super convenient when you're coming back from a cruise tour.

What a wonderful experience. Marta was so knowledgeable. She pointed out some of the most interesting details at each of our stops. It was a perfect way to see some of the highlights of beautiful Barcelona.

This was a great tour. They picked the 9 of us up from the port and took us to Montserrat and Park Güell with Barcelona highlights. The guide was knowledgeable and accommodating with such a large group, one with mobility issues. She ensured we all had the best tour and saw everything. They dropped us off at our respective hotels with all our luggage. The perfect end to our cruise!

This is a great tour if you want to see many highlights of this wonderful city and Montserrat on the same day. You will have the option to get tickets in advance to see the Black Madonna up close. Also, if you are staying in Barcelona (not on a shore excursion or cruise) you do have the option of entering and seeing the Sagrada Familia Basilica (from inside) at the end of the tour. Martha was our guide, she was very knowledgeable and made our small group tour a wonderful one.

I would highly recommend Barcelona Day Tours. We recently ended a cruise in Barcelona and booked a 1/2 day city tour with them. Our guide picked us up right outside the doors of the port. There were about 12 in our group but we had a very large, comfortable bus for the tour. Our luggage was stored in the bus while we were able to tour the city. Our tour included Parc Guell entrance. We also stopped to look at Sagrada Familia (we did not go in). Our guide gave so much great information about what we were seeing. At the end of the tour, we were to be dropped off at our hotel, however since we were staying in the La Rambla area, the bus could not get down the streets. Instead, our guide secured us a taxi and told us to send Barcelona Day Tours the ticket showing the cost and they will reimburse us. All in all, this was a great way to see the city with a guide and get to our hotel. Thank you Barcelona Day Tours!!

We began our vacation in Barcelona before our cruise. We booked Barcelona Highlights & Montserrat with Port or Hotel Pick Up. Pick up was prompt in a beautiful van. The other families sharing are tour were friendly. Our guide Marta was wonderful, knowledgeable and took great pictures of us. Montserrat was beautiful with plenty of time to walk around on our own. We learn about Gaudi at Park Guell. Final stop was Sagrada Familia with a walk around and for those with tickets, a tour inside. Communication with this company was top notch, from the time of booking many months before our trip right up to the moment they picked us up. They also arranged our transport from the airport to our hotel which was wonderful, on time and pleasant after a long flight. We fell in love with Barcelona and would highly recommend this company to introduce you to this great city

The trip to Spain was great. We cannot thank you enough for the experience. Our private tour to Montserrat with Christian was exceptional. He was prompt with the pickup at the port and highlighted sights on our way to Montserrat. He was very aware of our interest, and he made the tour informative and spiritual. He went above by providing us with access to the Black Madonna, recommendations on local food and providing the opportunity to ride the gondola down from the monastery. His tour was the best we had over the entire trip. The Flamenco show and dinner was remarkable. We had such a good time – the recommendation was spot on. It also gave us the opportunity to experience the La Rambla area, tapas, drinks, large market and churches. The small group with Mar and the Barcelona highlights tour was fun and a great way to round out our three-day visit. The Sagrada Familia church and Parc Guell were of course the highlights, but Mar gave us so much more information on Barcelona – the city, the people, life in Barcelona. From what we saw on our first visit to Barcelona, we plan to return to experience more of this great city. Your group made it happen and we thank you immensely.

We booked with Barcelona Day Tours for our final adventure as we were finishing our cruise in Barcelona. They are everything they advertise and more. They picked us up directly outside of the cruise terminal and we were off on our day tour of all the sites around Barcelona. Our guide, Marta, well I forgot to ask but I swear she was a history professor in her prior career because she was so incredibly knowledgeable! By the way, she’s also a fantastic picture taker haha! On a side note, we saw many churches on our trip but the basilica of the Black Madonna was my favorite. I think it was how it had a darker tone that felt more intimate, maybe even a little eerie, sort of like a Da Vinci Code feel. It was also very quiet. Yes, La Sagrada Familia is breathtaking - no question, but don’t miss out on the trip to Montserrat! In relation to La Sagrada Familia, one can stand around and marvel at its glory, but Marta made the building come alive with her knowledge and stories of how it came to be, and where it’s heading. One of my favorite things she explained was the tree of life on the Nativity facade. Once our day around Barcelona was over, we were staying in at a hotel in the Gothic quarter, and only taxis and other service vehicles are allowed to drive on their streets. Martha hailed us a cab and ensured they knew where to take us. While Barcelona Day Tours will pick up the tab for the cab ride to the hotel, since they dropped off others at their hotel, it was literally a few Euros so we didn’t even bother. If we ever find ourselves in Barcelona again, we’ll be sure to sign up with Barcelona Day Tours for another adventure. When a company delivers a level of exacting service that makes the whole process enjoyable, why would I think of going anywhere else!

This was the best tour of our Mediterranean trip. The things we saw in Barcelona were so unique and incredible and the monastery beautiful. But the best part of the tour was our guide Marta, and the individual attention she gave to each of us in calling us by name and assisting with our unique needs. She was thorough, indefatigable and passionate about her city. It was a great experience!

The pickup time was changed to 20 minutes earlier, from the original time of 08:55. A quick breakfast and we were on our way. The ride to Montserrat was in a comfortable vehicle, didn't feel claustrophobic like in a giant tour bus. The Montserrat Monestary is unique in all aspects of history and its location. The food service available was limited when we arrived because they were not opened for business that early in the day. We stayed long enough to absorb the tranquility and scenery there. We really liked the stop at the Cuitadella Vila Olimpica, the gardens are beautiful and calming, could stay there for hours. We drove on Passeig de Gracia and passed Casa Batllo and Casa Amatller. Our tour at Parc Guell was beyond our expectations. Our tour guide taught us the unique motivations of the master creator Gaudi. Quite a magical place. Unfortunately it is quite crowded as expected. The design and amount of detail and color in his creations are so unique. The materials he used to produce the finished products are unusual. Our last stop at the Sagrada Familia Basiica was informative as it consisted of the exterior of the buildings fascade. It described the timeline of its construction and the symbolism of the many statues, and exotic forms. The structure is huge so it took some time to cover. The interpretation of the structure was easy to understand and explained so we all can hear it. I totally recommend this tour by Barcelona Day Tours.
