Celino made our cork trekking experience so worthwhile. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and enjoyable. We learned a lot about cork trees, their harvest, their environmental importance, and the integration of agricultural symbiosis as it relates to farming in Portugal. We would definitely recommend this tour and Celino!

We did on Friday 05/2024 the Cork safari with the 4x4 cars. It was an amazing and learningfull experience. Our children an grandchildren loved it 👍👍👍 The Owners of the property are very sympathetic and friendly. What made the trip even more special - beside the amazing nature and landscape views - was our Portugese guide Celino. He gave a really inspiring and interactive explanation on how the Cork is harvested and what products can be made of it … He also gave a very educational view on the history and also gave a lot of extra answers on all our questions. Celina made the trip a real top event, so we can absolutely recommend it to all people that visit the region. Marc Vanwalleghem (Belgium)

See the cork trees and vineyards traveling choosing between a comfortable SUV ride or a thrilling (and bumpy) jeep ride. I went as part of a Gadventures tour group and we took both varying each way. Our guides Andre and Margarita showed us around the farm, regaling us with it's history and explaining how the cork, Holm oaks, and grapes are used in regional goods. They also showed us a recently uncovered dolmen still in the process of being excavated. Later, they dropped us off at a local restaurant for lunch where we were treated to home cooking (which I'm not sure is usually included). Both guides were affable and highly knowledgeable, eagerly answering questions and offering a hand as needed. The food, was likewise delicious, but that deserves its own review!

Learned so much more about cork than we had ever learned from opening wine bottles. Joanna was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. Lunch was delicious and a fun way to get to know our safari mates.

A perfect way to take the family outside and see gorgeous cork trees, vineyards, and animals. The family loved it. My kids loved the Land Rover and enjoyed the open air, branches in the face, and dodging the farm life. Truly informative and Joana is an amazing host/guide. The lunch afterwards was very traditional and the soup followed by the local pork was superb. A great morning adventure for those with teenagers.

We really enjoyed the private tour of the cork fields. The tour in the cork fields and the black pork meal and tomato soup were our favorite. You felt like a local in the village and our guide Joana was wonderful

Our first time in a cork forest, this excursion onto Philip's farms was fascinating. We learned a lot about cork trees, farming, and starting a vineyard. The area is beautiful. Our older children (21 & 18) loved the tour as much as we did.

We had the pleasure of being guided around the cork forest by the owner, Phillip, who was very entertaining as he explained the history of the land, how cork is cared for and harvested, and how he also became a winemaker. The tour of his beautiful forest and vineyard was a highlight of our trip to the Alentejo -- we highly recommend it. And if you get a chance, try some of Phillip's wine -- Dez Tostoes -- it's amazing!
