Horton Grand Hotel

Famous for room 309 and room 209, which are both active. One of the ghosts may be someone you have already heard of, an infamous gunslinger, can you guess who that might be? Visitors still experience mysterious cold chills, footsteps, and glowing orbs. Though the rooms are booked consistently preventing us from entering we will take you as close as we can. You'll hear the stories of those rooms and more in the lobby and bar area. You'll also have access to our videos of the rooms themselves. Perhaps after, you'll be moved to book these rooms yourself.

Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House

This is the house where people would come to die as it was a hospital of sorts with a dramatic history. Our guests have experienced being pushed around the house with a hand on their back when there is no one behind them and catching mysterious shapes on camera.

Wonderful way to explore the history and streets of Gaslamp. There were lots of interesting stories, creepy tales and some quirky facts.

Great tour. We had a lot of fun and learned some interesting history. We do a lot of ghost tours, in many different cities, and this ranks at the top. If you are in the area, we highly recommend booking a tour with Haunted San Diego.

Great adult, mother/daughter adventure. Kat, our guide was entertaining with fun facts and stories. San Diego nightlife is entertaining as well

Aside from a couple of cool facts, you don't get much of history nor ghosts. Most stories told seem the same, when it would probably be better yo dive deeper into some others.

We did this tour on a recent Thursday evening. There were about 10-15 total people. I’d recommend leaving the kids at home - there was a family on our tour and they looked bored, and all of the brothel talk was probably beyond them.

This was a local tour group which is why it was more personal and entertaining. Dante was an excellent host. His explanation and story telling was fantastic. We were able to connect with the history of San Diego and the local haunting stories and sites. You would never stop to think the history behind each of the historical building if you didn’t have Dante. Our favorite site was the William Heath Davis house built in 1850. Walking inside a 174 year old building was breathtaking. Roughly recommend the tour.

This evening walking tour (two hours) was informative and entertaining. Stopping at many of the historically designated locations along the tour, our guide shared stories related to notorious residents of San Diego. And, how after their demise, many restless spirits remain to either startle, prank, or welcome those of us who consider visiting or living in these special places.

My wife and I booked this tour not knowing exactly what to expect, but we loved it! Our guide, Lydia, made it very enjoyable and put a ton of effort in to making the tour both informative, and spooky! You see over 20 locations all through Gaslamp, with a history given of each place, as well as history of San Diego as well. Would definitely recommend!
