Johann Jareckyj who solo runs the Tartan Bicycle Company was just the most incredible host and tour guide. I booked about a week out with the intention to see some of the Highlands and also get to bike around Scotland. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and there was a >90% chance of sitting on a bike soaked through in the cold. Checking the weather the night before I was initially dismayed, but Johann was amazingly accommodating!
He showed up exactly on time after communicating via messages prior to the trip and providing all the right details. He offered a full refund or the option to do a discounted tour in a part of Scotland that would be relatively immune to the horrendous rainfall predicted that day. It ended up being fantastic! He was so kind, professional, and a genuinely wonderful human being to spend a day with. He is passionate about cycling and has a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. I was surprised to discover all the different biking-related services his independently owned and run company can provide as well in Scotland! Check it out.
If you're looking to get a little exercise, learn about the area at a nice pace on a bike, or are traveling solo like myself and the other companion on my tour, you will be very happy you book this tour or one of the similar tours with Johann.

Sadly this trip was cancelled due to weather however Johann was more than accomodating and I did the half day bridges bike tour.
Thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot recommend highly enough.
The bike was modern and well maintained.
Our guide was informative, friendly and knowledgeable.

Super competent capable positive trip leader, careful driver, very considerate. As a 60 yr old cyclist on an e-bike it was easy but other younger riders rated it mild-end of moderate. Restraint lunch break was truly delicious. One 20 min vertical hike totally worth the view. Best outing day in Scotland! Thank you Johann!

If I could leave 6 stars I would!!! The views!!!! The path/tour was amazing!!!! Dedicated bike trails, stunning views! Johan our was the best as well, without a doubt top notch tour worth every penny! He took us to incredible locations even a hike to a Loch overlooki that is breath taking! A memory for a lifetime!!!!!

The bike tour was amazing! Scotland has such a great nature, we have never seen anything similar to this, although we have been actively traveling around the world. Greenery seemed greener, mountains and hills were beautiful, my wife and I loved it!
Johann is incredibly helpful, apart from giving us nice bikes, he also provided us with rain coats, water, and, most importantly, interesting stories about the region
We highly recommend this bike tour!

Travelers are picked up between 8:00am and 8:30am on the morning of their tour. A precise pick up time will be given on confirmation of booking.
Uplift and return can be arranged from most addresses within Edinburgh including hotels, B&B's, self service accommodation, transport hubs, private homes and popular meeting points.
Tour is scheduled to return back to Edinburgh between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
