Excellent tour.Lovely to visit TV locations of Outlander.Plenty.of walking time at the Hermitage.Nice lunch stop in Dunkeld.a splendid day topped off by the Ediburgh Tattoo.I highly recommend Highland Explorer. went to Shetland Up Helly Aa tour 4 years ago. Great guides and drivers.

Ali was an excellent driver and tour guide. She provided so much in the way of history, folklore, and anecdotes all while navigating city traffic out of and back into Edinburgh. The stops, including the distillery were well timed, nothing was rushed. There was plenty of time to get lunch when we visited the historical town of Dunkeld. Don't know if the stops are always the same. Start to finish, the tour is about 7 hours. A full day but one you won"t regret. We did the tour and attended the Tattoo on a Saturday. The tickets were for the later performance. It was a spectacular show and our tickets were perfect: about 2/3 of the way up and near center. Be prepared for showers, we had intermittent sprinkles, bring your poncho and you'll be fine. All around great day!!

I have taken numerous Viator trips in various countries. This is the first time there was no actual itinerary. The trip was listed as Highland tour but we never actually went into the highlands. Had I known the itinerary I would not have taken the trip and only attended the Tattoo Festival. Nothing against the guide, Paul, he was great but the trip itself wasn’t so great and a bit disappointing

Allison was our guide and so kind and informative. Plenty of interesting information but also ample time to explore the beauty on our own.

What a lovely day it was! Owen, our guide, was knowledgeable and highly entertaining. All the stops were well worth and ending the day with Tattoo was the highlight!

Our day was absolutely awesome. Great tour guide/bus driver during the day and the Tattoo was amazing

This was a great way of getting late tickets for the Tattoo. The trip was very enjoyable and our guide/driver, Duncan, who was very knowledgable, kept us interested throughout. For the Tattoo, we had very good seats. It was a fantastic evening, full of music and colour; not to be missed when visiting Edinburgh, at this time of year. I would highly recommend this trip.
