What to expect
Tate Modern
It is not uncommon to feel both intrigued and confused by a piece of contemporary art. Allow me to guide you through the galleries of Tate Modern on a curious inquiry into what we see, and hopefully, during the 2 hours that we spend together, you will acquire the skills of looking, seeing and talking about art. I would like to encourage you to trust your own eyes and instincts and think of art in front of you in a more personal way. How did abstract art come about? Does the gender of the artists matter? What happened to sculpture in the 20th century? Is photography art? Who decided what is art and what isn’t and can art change the world? Do we have to like what we see in order to understand it and vice-versa? We will talk in-depth about all of these questions. No prior art knowledge is required, everyone is welcome. Great for solo travellers, couples, families, groups of any kind, teams and team-building exercises.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
