Reserva Natural Estuario do Douro
The Douro Estuary Local Nature Reserve is located in the parish of São Pedro da Afurada, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, district of Porto, in Portugal and was created on July 10, 2018. It has an area of 62 hectares, it is a resting, feeding and sheltering place for many species of migratory birds.
Ponte da Arrabida
It took six years to build. National Monument was the first major work on the Douro River designed and built by Portuguese engineering. The Arrábida Bridge was inaugurated on June 22, 1963, according to a project by engineer Edgar Cardoso. At the time, it was the longest span reinforced concrete arch bridge in the world: 270 meters. Its simple beauty is still admired today, consolidating itself as one of the icons of the city.

Ponte de Dom Luis I
The D. Luís I Bridge (or Luiz I Bridge, in the original spelling inscribed on it), is a bridge in metallic structure with two decks, built between the years 1881 and 1886, connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia (north bank and south, respectively) separated by the Douro River, in Portugal. This construction replaced the old suspension bridge that existed in the same place and was carried out according to the project of the Belgian engineer Théophile Seyrig, who had previously collaborated with Gustave Eiffel in the construction of the Bridge of D. Maria Pia, railway. The bridge was inaugurated in 1886 (upper deck) and 1888 (lower deck and entrance fully operational)

Ponte D. Maria Pia
The Maria Pia Bridge was a work built "at the limit of the classical possibilities of metal construction", said Gustav Eiffel (1832-1923), the well-known French engineer who gave the name to the famous Paris tower. In its time, the Maria Pia Bridge was a work of engineering that dazzled Portuguese and foreigners alike. Construction of the bridge began in January 1876 and ended in October 1877. It required the work of 150 workers and 1,600,000 kilos of iron were used. The inauguration took place on November 4, 1877, and was presided over by King D. Luís I and Queen D. Maria Pia, hence the name. This bridge, exclusively for the Lisbon-Porto rail connection. Over time, in 1991, D. Maria Pia's was deactivated.
Ponte de Sao Joao
Living up to its name, the bridge was inaugurated on Saint John's Day, June 24, 1991.
