This was a special tour, with great energy, and a fun story was told that included you. The small group concept is great, and I’m really glad there were no commercial stops at all! If you are an avid naturalist then perhaps the level of detail could have been greater. For me this was more a positive than a negative.

Great tour with two local, very experienced, friendly and funny guides. You will learn about some of Gran Canarias history, vegetation and animals with the waterfalls as highlights.

This tour was THE highlight of my 5 day visit to Gran Canaria! Ines and Juanjo have created something quite magical with their tour; a great combination of natural and cultural history with a mischievous sense of quirky silliness that was really enjoyed. The hike itself was beautiful and the plants; flowers and waterfalls breath-taking. I felt super relaxed after this experience even though we had trekked 8km. If I return to Gran Carnaria, I will definitely be booking another of their tours! Can't recommend this experience enough! Gracias!

This is our second year together in Gran Canaria and we had such a great time last year with Ines and Juan (and Lupita!) we intentionally looked to do another tour with the Sky Rebels team. As always we had a fantastic time, the hike wasn't difficult, the scenery and the forest itself is incredible to walk through, we learnt a tonne about the island and Ines and Juan made it hilarious throughout! We can't wait to go back next year and we'll definitely be doing another tour with them!

*** The BEST day of our holiday *** I am going to begin this review with my feelings when we pulled up at our hotel at the end of the day. I was disappointed. Disappointed that our wonderful day had come to an end! My husband our three children and I spent the day exploring all the incredible things Gran Canaria has to offer with Ines and Juan. They picked us up at our hotel entrance at 9.00. They were there on time waiting for us. Their car is immaculate and very comfortable and our tour was tailored to our needs. We first drove to the Gran Canaria mountains, stopping in Degollada de la Yegua and Santa Lucia Valley which both have spectacular views. Then we drove on to Tunte (a traditional Canarian village) where we walked around with Ines who taught us about the history of the island - from the architecture and traditional building methods to the ancient religions and beliefs of the first Canarian settlers. We also had a delicious homemade Canarian snack here which we all really enjoyed. Then we drove on to Presa de los Horno. We stopped for lunch at the Biosphere Reserve and Ines and Juan made us a beautiful homemade Canarian meal made with local products. They catered to our specific requirements and produced a luxury lunch for us washed down with an excellent bottle of Rioja and local honey rum! After lunch we went to Pico de las Nieves , the highest point in Gran Canaria and then to Caldera de los Marteles - a volcanic crater - which is very interesting to see up close. We then drove to Agüimes (the village of craftsmen) which was beautiful and not touristy. We had a coffee and ice cream in a traditional bar. Then we then drove to the east coast where we discovered how windy it is there! And finally to the Maspalomas Dunes which look like a mini Sahara desert in Gran Canaria! They drove us back to our hotel and we arrived at about 6:30pm. Every minute of the tour was interesting and fun. Ines and Juan were such excellent guides and entertainers. They kept us all happy and laughing all day which is all the more impressive with 3 children. We covered a lot of ground, saw so many things and learned so much but it wasn’t a tiring day. It was fun, fascinating we were all sad when it was over! We highly highly highly recommend SKY REBELS!

We had an exellent Discover Gran Canaria trip with Skyrebels hosted by Ines and Armero. These guys took us to see the most exiting places at Gran Canaria espesially at the midle of the Island. Their concept is very good and with only a small group You get to learn more and the feeling in the car was familiar and warm. The trip included an exellent picknic with home made canarian food and good wine. Warmly recommended to all who want to experience the historiy, culture and local Gran Canaria within a day. Especially Ines and Armero and their friendlienes made the trip succesfull.

This couple puts so much much energy and details into their tour, you will have a wonderful time. Our experience was above and beyond any regular tour, their love and expertise of the island is infectious. A wonderful home-cooked picnic alongside wonderful views and exploring. Unforgettable for all of the right reasons.

If you are considering a Gran Canaria tour with Sky Rebels, stop reading right now and book it. You will be thrilled beyond measure! My wife and I contacted Sky Rebels for a small-group tour on a cruise port-stop in Las Palmas Gran Canaria. Three other couples from our cruise joined us on the tour. Pre-cruise, Inés was exceptionally warm and helpful in communicating the details of the tour. She proactively stayed in contact with me as the tour date approached for updates on timing (and the menu!). Our tour was a full-day, whole-island exploration. The time flew by! Inés the tour-leader offered non-stop, fascinating explanations of the island’s cultural history and environment. These were enhanced and extended by husband and playlist (!) master Juanjo. Even the ephemeral sopranito Lupita added occasional commentary. Our group-of-eight was exceptionally comfortable in a luxurious 12-passenger minibus. Expert driver Paco navigated it superbly. A few words about Inés and Juanjo: They radiate joy. They actively, lovingly and enthrallingly put their whole heart and soul into designing and directing tours of an island they truly adore. Inés and Juanjo filled the day with delightful surprises and charming madness. They are contagiously fun! There was magic. There were aboriginal spirits. There were cosmic interventions. I ache to share a myriad mind-bending spoilers. But I won’t. Just trust me that near-continuous sparks of inspired whimsy from Inés and Juanjo (and Lupita) will have you in perpetual smiles and stitches throughout the tour. So what did we do? We saw a lava-rock sculpture of an aboriginal woman at the seashore. We (almost) climbed 120 steps to see a cave filled with ancient inscriptions. We viewed a sacred caldera as a near white-out of clouds swirled away to sunlit clarity. We traversed goat paths repurposed as roads along near-vertical ravines. We viewed archaic volcanic peaks, and clambered awe-struck to the top of some. We wandered through the charming, bougainvilla-covered village of Puerto Mogán. We gawked in amazement at the 5-mile wide sand dunes of Maspalomas. → ☞ We were treated to a fourteen-course gourmet picnic lunch of scrumptious Spanish and Canarian tapas and pinxos, expertly prepared and presented by Inés!!! (More surprises here. I’ll stay mum.) There was so much more. For over 11 hours, we reveled in Gran Canaria’s iconic magesty and ancient culture. It was utterly amazing. It was the single best tour-day we’ve had in nearly forty years of travel. We heartily, emphatically, and whole-heartedly recommend Sky Rebel tours of Gran Canaria. Have you booked it yet?
