The tour guide Jenie was very good in terms of knowing the history of the area and the terrain. Because it was such a long day, she had to rush us at some points. It was beautiful to see San Gimignano. However, the streets are very commercialized and busy. The winery visit was good in terms of tasting the variety of wines and food. We didn't see how they made the wine in their building. Siena was also very beautiful. It was way too busy and also very commercialized. I wanted to see more of the famous buildings but by the time we got to Siena, we were tired from all of the walking. The whole day went from 8:15 until almost 7:00 or so in the evening, by the time we got back to Lucca. There was too much walking involved (hours and hours) on very busy narrow hilly roads. Way too long of a day. It would be better to be a shorter day and also taken by the tour guide to more off the beaten path places within these towns. Washrooms are a problem there. Not enough of them and stores resent anyone using their washrooms. We were told by Viator to meet at Piazzale B. Ricasoli, 15 in Lucca. This address does not exist and we spent a lot of time trying to find the meeting point. Luckily, another couple was hanging around the area and told us.

Loved the wine tasting. Fabulous setting and very interesting. The wines sampled were delicious (we purchased the local honey - would have taken a bottle of wine but weight restrictions on luggage)

What a fantastic tour of San Gimignano, Wine Tasting and traditional light lunch, and Sienna. Tania was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and above all friendly. We made two new friends who also made the day special. We sang together and laughed together too. Thank you we will never forget today

We were traveling with 8 friends and booked this because we had had great experiences with Viator guides. Both guides we had were bad. Elle and Deborah. The bus was very tight and HOT. ELLE TOLD US ITALIAN WORD TRANSLLATION TO ENGLISH OVER AND OVER. VERY LITTLE HISTORY. THIS TOWN IS … it means … over and over. We have been to sienna and wanted our friends to learn the history and culture as we have before. This trip was not good. Deborah could not breathe well while Wally in sienna. No excitement from either one. The winery was not good. I’ll probably try Viator again but can not be happy with these guides or the hot crowded bus
