Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)

Comércio Square: This Square was the centerpiece of the reconstruction that took place after the earthquake of 1755 which has reduced Lisbon to rubble. In a privilege location, facing the river, this is the most popular square in Lisbon and one of the largest in Europe.

Museu do Fado

Learn about Alfama's connection to Fado music. A genre so pungent and touching that it will not easily leave anyone indifferent. It's even said that Fado makes the cobblestone streets cry.

Alfama

(Pass by)

Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood and the most charming one, it’s considered the historic soul of Lisbon and its steep, cobblestoned lanes stand just as they were in medieval times. This area is best known for its fado houses and the great festivities of Lisbon which honors “Santo António” (St. Anthony) during the month of June, luring thousands of people into the streets. This neighbourhood resisted to the terrible earthquake of 1755 and this is one of the main reasons that contributed to the preservation of its authenticity. This charming area retains some of the Moorish atmosphere with its alleys, staircases and clothes drying on the windows.

This is THE best way to see Lisbon if on a limited time. I stopped in Lisbon while on a cruise and only had a few hours to spend in town. My guide, Victor, was very knowledgeable and very friendly!! He took us to the main areas of Lisbon, including the Belem and also to the heart of the city where we had excellent opportunities for photography and even some shopping. If you are coming to Lisbon for the first time and don’t want to walk the hilly terrain of the city, this is the way to go. The price cannot be beat as well. Exceedingly recommended!!

Wonderful afternoon spent around Lisbon! The tuk tuk might be little bumpy but it’s worth it since it allowed us to explore deep inside de old part of town. Our guide Amaro was incredibly knowledgeable and fun really made the tour.

We had a great 3-hour tuk tuk tour of Lisbon! Our guide Rafael was very knowledgeable about the major sites throughout the different neighborhoods in the city. He planned for great photo opportunity stops throughout the tour and was more than willing to pull over anytime we wanted to take a photo of something that captured our interest. It was my first time in a tuk tuk, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Eric was our tour guide and he was great! We gave him free reign to take him wherever he wanted around the city and he did not disappoint! He took us to some local neighborhoods where we tried some fantastic Ginjinha! Also, to some amazing look out points! 10/10 recommend booking with Eric !

My mom and I had a short three day visit in Lisbon. I highly recommend booking a tuk tuk tour, it’s honestly one of the best ways to see the historic part of the city. Lisbon has lots of hills and steep climbs so this was a perfect way for my elderly mother to experience the city without, as she would say “her legs melting away”. Our tour was with eco tuk tuk and our guide was Marta. She is amazing, I highly recommend requesting Marta for your tour. Marta is originally from Lisbon and very well knowledged In the city’s history so that was a big plus for us and the list of local restaurant recommendations that she gave us has not disappointed. Gracias Marta!

Decided to book this tour for our first day in Lisbon and wow, it was perfect. Our guide,Marta, was so knowledgeable and fun to be with, we loved her! She took us to the classic sites on a beautiful day that was also a busy public holiday. She's an excellent driver and got us around many traffic obstacles and through some tight spots. I did a similar open car tour in Rome and the driver couldn't stop at any sites however in Lisbon, the tuk-tuks park at the key sites and the driver then goes with you. Great to have her as our photographer and for learning more about this beautiful city. Book with Marta if you're going to Lisbon. You will be pleased!
