Beautiful views and lots of activities to do. Lodging and restaurants are usually busy so make reservations in advance, if possible. Locals have always been very friendly to us.

Just got back from a wonder filled tour with Pam. Very knowledgeable, sweet personality and a very good driver. She took good care of my husband who needed a little help without sacrificing other people's needs. Lunch at Elvira was excellent. I had a BLT sandwich with fried green tomatoes, mmm good.

We so enjoyed the day with our guide Pam and our fellow travelers. It was well worth an early departure from Charlotte, NC to catch the van. Pam gave us a great overview of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Newfound Gap, Elkmont, and Townsend, the “Peaceful Side of the Smokies.” She was accommodating with stops for pictures, exploring, and shopping. She gave us tons of information, including, “There’s a bear!” not once but twice! Lunch at Elvira’s Cafe was delightful. While it was relaxing to let someone else do the driving on our first day, this tour supplied us with suggestions and ideas on how to spend the rest of our vacation. Thanks, Pam!
