Centro Historico de Sintra

We will walk on the small narrow streets early in the morning, before it gets crowded with big tourists groups. We will explore best viewing points, learn about local history, interesting facts and curiosities. We will show you the oldest bakery of Portugal, and will tell you the secret of oldest recipe of famous pastry. We will try in one small local wine cellar locally produced wine! Will learn the why Portugal is the biggest cork producer and will visit family owned tiles fabric. You will have some free time to buy souvenirs and relax!

Quinta da Regaleira

It is not a typical tour, it is really an experience.We will have an ADVENTURE in the garden of the palace! If you ready to EXPLORE, play, have fun, and get initiated in the end, then this experience is for you! There will be some safe underground caves, the initiation well, and much more!

Praia das Azenhas do Mar

We will be in one of the oldest fishing villages in the MOST WESTERN part of Europe! We will see amazing views, will go to the beach and enjoy the ocean and sun!

Sintra Mountains

In the end we will go to the national forest of Sintra on the top of the mountain to a very beautiful local cafe surrounded by nature and will have lunch, trying local dishes and wine! This experience is 6 hours in total in order not to get exausted in the end, and we avoid most touristic attractions, so you will not need to stay in the lines and spend time. We will see all these atractions from the distance! Happy, full of emotions, and energy from the ocean we will bring you back to Lisbon at around 3pm and you will have time for siesta! We will recommend you the best restaurants and things to do in Lisbon after our trip!

Our guide Miguel was simply outstanding. He provided a lot of interesting details about each site we visited plus so much more. He is truly amazing. We’ve gone on many tours before and felt rushed but not with Miguel. He’s a safe driver and in the highest league of tour guides.

Meeting our guide was a bit challenging but our tour guide Rita was very helpful, (thank God we had her number). Rita drove us around finding adequate parking and explained all about the history and buildings. We indeed skipped the line before entering a site, which was good due to the long line. Ended our tour with a low cost out of the beaten path stop for lunch including wine.

Our day in Sintra was a delight from start to finish and the guide, Pedro, was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. We were traveling with our four daughters--ages 32 to 20--and everyone felt welcome and looked after. We would give this day-trip to Sintra our highest recommendation without qualification of any kind.

Visit to Sintra was the highlight of our trip. Not only because it was the playground of the kings, but also because of informative and friendly guide, Alex, who made this excursion so much more special. He obviously loves Sintra and made us fall in love with it too. He took us to many interesting places, some of them were not on the general tourist map. We booked last minute and had a wonderful time on this tour. Alex was our guide who was very friendly and full know of knowledge of Lisbon and Portugal. We never waited in any lines and it really did feel like I was just with a local friend showing me around town. It’s a great value as well compared to pricing of other tours. I will definitely do another tour with this company when I return to Portugal!

Alex had just started this tour and we were lucky to have him just for my wife, essentially for a private tour! At 8 people max, we would have definitely also enjoyed the experience. He was very open to feedback and genuinely interested in doing something different that give a lasting meaningful experience. Pre-tour communication went very well through WhatsApp, and as it was just the two of us, he accommodated us and picked us up at our hotel, saving us a 10min Taxi ride to the city center. Alex was very laid back and gave us good insight as well as jokes to lighten the mood, it was appreciated. We felt it was the right level of information. Started the day just early enough to beat the crowds in the small bucolic streets of Sintra, had a tasty glass of Ginjinha cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup and some local pastry in Piriquita reknown café. Alex was considerate of my wife's difficulty with too much hill walking and gave us some free time in Sintra and picked us up with the car so we didn't have to walk as much back to the car. Generally thanks to his local connections (he is well known by locals), he could park really close to most places to reduce walking time, a really great perk! We particularly enjoyed our time in the summer garden palace "Quinta da Regaleira", a place full of mystery, beautiful nature, caves, fountains and ponds. Very peaceful. He was flexible with the itinerary and asked us what we wanted to do. Largely we stuck to his well crafted itinerary and enjoyed a nice walk on the beach in a beach next to Cabo de Roca, which we also visited. He really tried to maximize our time and even offered to go to Pena palace or even Cascais, which we had expressed interest in seeing, but it would have been too packed. Overall, we went to places not jam packed with tourists (unlike when we went by ourselves to Belem the day before!) and we strongly recommend this tour! All the best Alex for the future.
