Park and National Palace of Pena

If you wish to stop at Pena Palace, you can decide if and how long you want to stay at the stunning gardens of the almost 200 acres of lush exotic gardens and rivers with species from all over the world or also see the palace. If you wish to pass by the fairy-tail palace from the XIX century, designed to be the lush summer home of the portuguese royalty, we facilitate access to the tickets to the inside and outside of the palace! With stunning views over the valley of Sintra-Cascais, you can see all the way until the coast-line (where we'll go next, after the Masonic Well at Regaleira!) At the palace you also have a nice caffe where you can have a bite!

Admission Not Included

Castelo dos Mouros

This Mourish Castle is located in the middle of the Sintra foorest! Well-built on the top of a mountain. The castle itself has more than 1000 years! We stop there and go when you ready.

Admission Not Included

Centro Historico de Sintra

Here we taste the good sweets and drinks, made by local friends! Also here we make a pause for lunch if you need. We stop there and go when you ready.

Cabo da Roca

The closest point to the Americas in Europe, here you are at the extreme west, where before there were temples of meditation ! In here you can even get a certificate by the cityhall saying that you were at the most west point of europe! We stop there and go when you ready.

Cascais

Cascais the famous up-scale beachtown that everyone wants to visit and where many want to move-in! Here, the huge bombs of water in each storm carved a huge cave in the rocks of the beach, which now we call in portuguese Mouth of Inferno. We stop there and go when you ready.

If you visit Lisbon this tour is an absolute must. So beautiful and our tour guide Niko, was fabulous. So knowledgeable and accommodating!

First off hats off to Viator by phone. Their operator found us a last minute private tour. When the driver got stuck in traffic, the tour operator sprung into action and got us a replacement a couple of hours later. “John” was very nice and took us around in a beautiful car. We enjoyed our experience. Would have given it a 5 if he talked more about the sights and less about himself.

We had such a great trip to sintra with Niko! Niko worked with our schedule and having to adjust the tour time to work with our travel schedule and gave us such a wonderful day! Definitely recommend! He was very knowledgeable and really tailored the day to our preferences.

Gaudi in full glory …. Good that Mr. Batllo changed his mind & didn’t demolish the building ….each room had Gaudi’s fantastic creativity on display

Pedro was amazing. He showed us the fortifications, castles, and mansions as well as the old town of Sintra itself. I was very interested in the Cork trees. He took us to an area with a small grove of Cork Trees and explained how they grow, how the cork is harvested and how the trees are protected. It was very interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our trip was awesome. We booked the half day private tour in the afternoon, so we could have flexibility and a relaxed trip after arriving the night before. We waited until he arrived to decide on our final destination, Sintra. Pedro was the perfect guide. He got us a last minute lunch reservation at a great restaurant in Sintra with a spectacular ocean view. The food was literally Michelin star quality. He was informative on the history and culture of the area. It was the perfect start to our vacation. Highly recommend!!!

Great time away from the crowds. Very special driver/guide. Beautiful afternoon, with a glimpse of the sunset.

We were short on time and only had an afternoon to tour Sintra and Cascais. Pedro conveniently picked us up at our hotel, promptly at 1 PM, and off we went to see all the highlights of these two regions. Pedro was a fantastic tour guide and driver. He listened to our requests and customized our tour for us! We toured through Sintra, saw the castles in the hills and walked through the picturesque town. We visited a small cafe and Pedro treated us to Queijada, a traditional pastry originating from Sintra. The beaches in Cascais were absolutely gorgeous! The breeze was so refreshing and the air so clean. We ate lunch at a Michelin-rated restaurant with a panoramic view of the sea, watched the surfers, and tasted Vinho Verde. Drove through the town of Cascais before heading back to Lisbon. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful country! Loved the charming castles, pristine beaches and delicious pastries. Highly recommend Pedro and Choose Your Emotion tours!

The tour was good but not organized. If you want to see something specific I suggest you bring your own list. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew a lot about the history of Portugal. However, he was just a driver. All the places you go, you will pay yourself and tour yourself and he will pick you up. Overall it was just an expensive Uber drive around Portugal.

this half day tour is not worth the money - you just can't see enough in 4 hours in Sintra especially when you include the 45m each way is included in that time. Our original full day tour cancelled 1 hour before departure so we scrambled for this half day tour just to try and get down there - the tour guide seemed to take us to his local shops for food when all we wanted was to see the city, the castle, the well - really anything - we ended up just driving by all the places and going into one palace since that's all there really is time for with such a short tour - you'd be better off booking a full day tour
