Yes it is very expensive, to get it, to eat, to drink, to buy anything is crazy money but if you plan your day well it can still be magical. Look tbh we only came for Galaxys Edge but managed to get a good feel of what is still a realtively small place so easy to get around. Arrived 830 due to traffic but parked easy and on the tram in minutes. Had planned to use the monorail but messed that up but it was no issue. Through the gates and both Star Tours and HyperSpace Mountain done by 930. It was season of the force so all Star Wars themed which was great. Up to Batuu and onto the Falcon for 2 rides, and some photos infront of the fast hunk of junk. Now the queues were starting to build so out with the Genie + and a ride booked for between 12 and 1 whilst we headed to ROTR which has no lightning lane unless you pay $20 each. In good news the ride broke so we got a lighting lane for post lunch. Talking of lunch we got a package at the Plaza which gave a pass to the reserved viewing area for the parade which made Mrs D very happy. It was pricey, go back to first paragraph. But the chance to sit down for as long as we needed to eat, rest, drink and plan was well worth it. Genie + then said ROTR was back on so we headed up there and once again when we got to the front of the queue the ride broke again (it does break down a lot) so back on Genie + to get another ride in before the parade started 5.30. Parade done and whilst watching it use Genie + to book Big Thunder Mountain and that was then done before a walk back north to Toon Town where both Mickeys Runaway Railway and Roger Rabbit were both not open, these rides seem to break down alot these days. Wait for a bit, give up and back to Star Wars land for 2 rides on Rise of the Resistance. WOW WOW WOW worth the entrance fee alone. Ivy built a lightsaber for $250 and I had a Ronto Wrap and time for the fireworks above the spires which is something for Season of the Force which runs for a few months. Post fireworks the park sort of gets a bit messed up, with paths closed and people walking towards each other, with hindisght should have layed low for a bit longer. Bit of merchadise shopping and then a quick ride on Indianan Jones on a Genie + booking made whilst in Battu. Right so the positives, lovely and clean, small park but feels big so easy to get around. Never felt too busy, might have got lucky on a weekday post spring break. And Genie + does work if used rights, also remember you get free ride photos, not that many of them do that sort of thing these days which is a shame. And making a big point for time out twice helped get through a 15 hour day, remember we were only there for 1 day so had to make it count. Negatives are cost, not surpried now that the whole of the USA seems to have doubled in price for most things, but how can most people afford to come here. Also how often the rides break down especially ROTR is not on, it wasted a couple of hours of our time due to this. Battu is not that great, a big shop for Star Wars merchandise with 2 brilliant rides. Hardly see any sequel chracters and when you do they don't stop for photos, and original trilogy fans like me want to see more of our guys not just the First Order. Harry Potter at Universal edges Galaxys Edge IMO. Also why is there not much if any GALAXY EDGE merchandise on sale here, I want to wear something in the UK that people know I went to Batuu, and not some generic star wars item. All we found was a lanyard, and some pins and magnets but I think Disney needs to stock up on specific black spire stuff. If they had I would have spent more. I even took a walk to the Star Wars shop in Downtown Disney to check I had not missed any merch but they had the usual stuff found in the park too. Would have liked to have had done the Mark twain boat, Disney Railroad and looked at a bit more on Main Street, but ran out of time that I might have had not waiting for rides that broke down too often. It is good, not magic or anything like that. The people who think that are living on past good times that might be there but not at this price with these crowds. it is well worth a visit, Genie + essential and I am glad we went just to tick off the Star Wars stuff which was an important part of our trip to the US that was delayed from 2020.

The park's rides and performances are unforgettable. From thrilling roller coasters to heartwarming stage plays, every activity is fun and exciting. Especially when interacting with Disney characters, I feel the joy and happiness of childlike innocence. In addition to the rides and performances, I was also impressed by the themed restaurants and shops in the park. The various delicacies and souvenirs are dazzling, and every corner is full of surprises and joy.

Too expensive now. It’s a playground for the rich and the YouTubers. Families are priced out. Kids will have more fun if you stay at a resort with a great pool area

Total hell hole now…long endless lines and way overpriced. I’d rather be in line at the DMV. It’s gone completely down hill. Save your money!

From classic attractions to beloved characters, it offers endless fun and nostalgia. The attention to detail and immersive atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for families and Disney fans alike.

Disneyland has changed. In all the years coming here, I have NEVER seen it so crowded! (And we used to go in summer and at the holidays.) We were here the first week of March, which is supposed to be one of the slower times - between President's Day break and spring break. I can't imagine what it is like at peak times. Would you even get to ride any rides? They have raised the price, so now it is incredibly expensive. And for a LOT of money, you get to wait in VERY LONG lines to go on rides, so that you cannot possibly ride very many rides/attractions in your day. It feels like Disney has upped their capacity, so that even walking around the park is difficult. No more fast pass. Now you have to PAY for a lightening pass, on top of the exorbitant park ticket. And we noticed that even the lightening pass folks had to wait in line. A few rides have single rider, and that worked well. But it seems Disney is no longer the happiest place on earth. It is just the most over-priced and crowded place.

We brought our school aged children and purchased park hopper passes with Genie upgrades. After 5 hours in Disneyland we managed to get onto 2 rides. We queued for over an hour for one ride, only to have a park worker come out and yell that it was now closed. Then we waited an hour for another ride and the same thing happened. The park employees do not apologize for the inconvenience, yelling at customers to leave the area, "check the app for when the ride will reopen" and "go find another ride" where you will also face enormous wait times. The park was filled with childless adults wearing mouse ears. That's who you are waiting in line with for hours. Very strange. Overpriced for the experience is an understatement. California Adventure was somewhat better managed, though they do charge additional fees to get on certain rides or be prepared to wait in a line for 2 hours. At the end of the day, my kids said they prefer Hershey Park and Busch Gardens because "at least you can get onto the rides there." On a positive note, we stayed at the Grand Californian. The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful and welcoming. Will never return.

This place is no longer for kids but for old people that need to start acting like grown ass adults. The ratio of kids to obese adults is so so sad. It is like going to some awful comic con convention now, where people are competing to be as weird as possible becuase they can't get attention for doing something useful. Even with paying up for their genie upsell (everything here is an upsell, Mickey cares most about money) getting on rides takes forever. It is just a mass of humanity, crowded as heck We paid up for the genie and you could only use it every five hours for good rides. And I really didn't want to be at this place for more than 5 hours. And it is just no longer affordable for a middle income families. Disney has sold out to old weirdos and has lost its soul, children, all just to maximize near term profits. The whole experience was over priced and low quailty. Food was not great, but priced like it was amazying. We bought ice cream and the staff told us to wait 20 minutes to eat it becasuse it was so frozen (still a rock after 20 minites). Thier staff have also turned into prima donnas, I saw a staff member throw an absoutely fit becuase a customer wasn't listening to him, they all seem very self centered and immature. Disney needs to pay up and start hiring mature adults, that realize the focus should be on the kids not themselves. Some of the star wars stuff was good, but really just simulators that are no longer unique. I have seen similar stuff all over the place. Just not authenitic experniece any more, feels very forced. The customers seem to desperately want this place to be magically, but it ain't, it just a mess. I feel like I was in the emperor with no clothes, one day everyone will realize that place is dumpy.

RobinUKUSA

So horrific. Pay $280 per ticket for Park Hopper and Genie pass for family of 5, almost $1,500, many key rides closed like Star Wars, Haunted Mansion, etc. Genie pass virtually worthless as can only use it one at a time, typically hours in advance, so you can’t use it for other rides in the interim. Just waited 80 minutes….EIGHTY…for Indiana Jones. Consumers should really backlash against Disney. This is such an abuse of consumers. Amazing they get away with it.

Gareth N

The queuing is horrific. 50mins was the advertised time. 50mins of queuing and an attendant tells us there is 45mins to go. That’s not what was said at the start if the queue. To our left was a rapidly ever growing Lightning queue. It was huge. The park policy seems to be to allow all the Lightning queue customers to access the ride first, rather than managing it by filtering them in quicker than the standard queue. But this is America, where money talks. Having already queued for over 50mins, leaving the queue for another ride was not a pleasant option. Poor management and customer service from Disney. As there was at the restaurant. Having been told to “wait close” as my food was ready very soon. I was then sharply spoken to a minute later by the same member of staff and told to clear the area and move way out to the side. Poor that. Having only been doing what she initially told me. And getting in was a faff. The attendant held our queue up for an age because of an issue with someone’s ticket. Surely it is possible to process other customers entry whilst solving the issue for the customer with a problem? Poor service all round. Not what I paid $375 for.
