Went on the 3-hour guided tour with a certified battlefield guide, Darel. He did an amazing job of explaining the battle of Gettysburg, spattered with history of other battles for context. He answered all of our questions, was patient and extremely knowledgable! It was only my husband and I on the tour, in our car. This is the way to go if you have a small group or family. We were able to ask tons of questions without feeling like we were impacting others. Reasonably priced for the quality of your.

Our Family worked with Gettysburg Heritage Center and were very happy to have a Licensed Battlefield Guide Eric Lindblade that took us on an 3-hour tour of the battlefield. Eric was great to ask where you are from to include more details of your state's role during the conflict. Eric's detailed knowledge helped us have an understanding from both sides what took place. Gettysburg is a place to visit and remember how quickly things become Tragic.

The museum was very small, but filled with facts. If you walked briskly and skipped over the movies, you could be in and out in under 10-15 mins. The cellar experience was interesting and gave you a perspective of what it would feel like during that era. We skipped out on the long movie due to us being on a time schedule, but the mini clips in the actual museum were filled with information. The 3D effects were slightly dated but could be interesting to younger kids. The gift shop was vast and had a good selection of items. The workers were very polite, as well. We went on a Monday and there was no “line” to skip. Gave a good basic review of events prior to exploring the battlefields.

Toured with Ralph Seigel for the artillery duel at the peach orchard. Superb presentation and entertaining talk on the gunfight there. Obviously, its world class guides at Gettysburg battlefield.

So much history to learn and they did a good job explaining it. The cellar experience was the most eye opening.

My husband and I enjoyed the Gettysburg Heritage Center and Museum. The interactive exhibits and the information you receive is definitely worth the price. It helped a lot to see the exhibits before going to the battlefield. The gift shop is awesome too as it has so many interesting books. Also highly recommend their personal tour guides for the battlefield. It was a memory for a lifetime.

Our tour guide Oda was great! The civilian perspective during the Battle of Gettysburg and the aftermath was different from all the other tours and was very interesting. The Shriver House was beautifully restored and the Shriver family history was well-worth the trip!

We took the four hour personally guided tour and I had an amazing time. The guide was unbelievably knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was obviously excited about the subject matter. I want to take the tour again sometime and if there is a longer tour available, I'm all in.

Perfect weather, sparce crowds, and an excellent private guide, Howard Liddic, made this an outstanding 2 days. We covered days 1 and 2 of the battle on our first day and the 3rd battle day ("Pickett's Charge") on our second day. Combination of short drives and walking key areas of the battlefield. Learned a tremendous amount. Howard was able to answer all our questions. 4 hours each day went by quickly! Special treat was visiting the NC state memorial, which is remarkable, even if your aren't a NC native.
