Your Itinerary

Parliament Square

Meet your guide and small group of travelers. Here, your guide will introduce themselves before heading to the first stop of the tour.

Westminster Abbey

Your day begins with skip the line entry into Westminster Abbey, the most serene time to see Britain’s most cherished church. With roots dating back over 1,000 years, this Gothic masterpiece is the traditional coronation site and burial ground of kings and queens, along with national heroes like Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and William Wilberforce. On your visit, you’ll learn from a local expert guide how the British monarchy helped shape the country’s conversion to democracy, as well as a few interesting tidbits about Winston Churchill, one of the only non-royals to ever lay in state in the Abbey after his death.

Admission Included

Houses of Parliament

Then, discover The Houses of Parliament. Enjoy a guided tour of the British Democracy with a qualified, Blue Badge tour guide, instead of following the audio guide. Visit the Chamber of the House of Commons, where Britain’s elected Masters of Parliament meet. Head over to the chamber of the House of Lords, where peers who had inherited their titles from the bluest bloodlines in the nation used to sit. Learn the highlights of the building’s history, including a failed bomb plot in 1605 that the British still celebrate today (ever hear of Guy Fawkes Night?). Walk in the footsteps of Henry VIII and Winston Churchill. History, legend, lore, and a lot of pomp and circumstance mix and mingle as you take in nearly one thousand years of history from one of the best guides in London.

Sound system of Westminster Abby guide was continuously failing. Flustered guide had difficulties with even her factual presentation because of this.

Charlotte provided a wealth of information through the Westminster Abbey and very delightful guide. Phil our guide for parliament also provided an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this tour.

Great experience and well worth the money. The guide at Westminster Abbey very knowledgeable and was a clear speak. Great tour. The guide at House of parliament was excellent and went into a lot of detail and we learnt a lot from him . He obviously loved his job and this was showing thought the tour. I would throughly recommend these tours well worth it

Parliament tour was great and our tour guide nick was very good, would come again as we came with school and learnt a lot of things I didn’t know before I came

The tour was efficient and well organized. The Abbey tour was informative and really gave a great sampling of the things to see inside. Once we were seemlessly handed over to the Parliament tour our tour guide Barney delivered two hours of solid information in a lighthearted and entertaining manner as we walked the entire building.

Horribly inflated price. The entry tickets themselves are about sixty pounds for both venues. At parliament, Your “private guide” is not your guide. Parliament requires you use their own and you can buy that guided ticket directly for 35 pounds. So really, the cost of this ticket over and above the entry fee is for a guide for the church only. And it’s not a “private” tour. All of these so called private Viator tours are lying. We booked several and by the price point (high) relied they were indeed private as stated. Yet, Each was with twenty other strangers which leaves you at the mercy of their slowness. Only book this if you waited too long and cannot get the tickets directly. I suspect the guide services buy all the tickets up as you can book this overpriced tour through Viator on almost no notice but on the web site it is out over a month That said, our actual guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. She did great. But Viator must be making money hands over fists in this.

The Abbey and Palace were truly amazing, but it was our outstanding guide Amber007 who made the tour spectacular. She had an impressive depth of knowledge and it was delivered in such a lovely manner. Amber was especially solicitous of my knee issue and for that I was most appreciative. I would tell anyone who asks to take this tour. I felt like we received a good and valuable experience for the price of admission. Sam was also very good on the Parliament side of the tour.

Amber was an outstanding guide - personable, extremely knowledgeable, articulate and passionate for Westminster Abbey history and British and European history more generally. A great experience and highly recommended.

Nick_M

Tour was outstanding! Both guides were great folks with a real passion form the material. Getting to stand in the benches in the house of commons was so cool!!!! All the history in Westminster was a ch a treat to learn.
