We didn’t really skip the line since there was none. We still had to check in at the ticket office and sign to acknowledge we received our tickets. We received a map with a QR code on it to the Springs Preserve app. She suggested we ride the train first to Boomtown 1903. We were there mostly to get some fresh air and hike. After piddling around the “village”, we walked along the gravel hiking trail. It is a flat easy trail. It was mostly in late winter condition. We enjoyed the cacti, succulents, other plants in the Desert Sol/Botanical Garden. Also visited the Waterworks exhibit. It was interesting and I loved the wooden xylophones. We will visit again to see the Origen & Nevada State Museums.

Really nice way to plan ahead and not worry about the fuss. The site was easy to navigate. It made the outing that much more enjoyable.

My family and I enjoyed how accessable everything is. Strollers rent for cheap and trails are paved. They even have cute leaf imprints all along the paths. Maps are handed out but also download to your phones. Bathrooms everywhere I swear every time my toddler grandson said he needed to pee we looked and there we were right next to another bathroom. I loved it, his mom loved it. The gift shops are reasonable prices. The train ride was fun. The employees were amazing and helpful. My service dog wasn't refused like many places. The dog show they had was funny and cute. And my grandson's favorite feature, the flashflood was AWESOME! He was jumping for joy when that water came flooding down and under us! My only concern was not enough interaction for him, kids his age (3). He cannot read, the animals were hiding, and the inside area just didn't have a lot his age could learn. However, the playground was wonderful, he LIVED all the statues of EVERYTHING from the pioneer people to the animals. Being that this place did keep him entertained for about 2 hrs, I'd still call that a win.

If you are a walking buff and just love history, you will love this trip. The price is extremely reasonable for the amount of things you can do , tours, walking paths, museums. I do however strongly recommend going in the fall or winter, because a lot of the enjoyable sites and activities are outside and in the middle of a Vegas summer it becomes uncomfortable and zaps your energy after about an hour and there is hours of entertainment to enjoy. We have gone several times and still have yet to see experience everything Springs reserves has to offer. We look forward to continue go back to enjoy what they have to offer.

It’s a place where history, fun and education meet. Great place to visit. Over 10,000 years of biological and geological history.

We went for science is everywhere day. We got to tour the UNLV energy efficient house. Highly recommend if you have a few hours in Las Vegas, especially if you have young children.

Oddly have been to Las Vegas for years so many times and only accidentally found out about this place the night before going this time. Sad, it needs better advertising or something. That being said it's wonderful away to spend a day learning about Nevada. Short drive from the entertainment areas and nice covered parking, not too crowded on a cool sunday in March. Could of great interactive museums that are very kid friendly and adult friendly lol. Great short historical movie offered of the preserve and the water that used to be here and made it possible for early peoples to live in the area though the springs are really gone now. The museum areas include reproduced replicas of mining town and an early idea of the town around a rail station. Replica's are fun if not entirely realistic. There is long paths one can walk to see the mostly fallen down ranch that used to be here and other areas. I think this may be the one lacking thing. Could more more historic houses and buildings here perhaps as they have done in some cities, and they really need to rebuild the structures that were here.... that would add alot to the place. There are places to eat here though i didn't check those out and a small botanic garden are. For me the museums were the best parts for sure, very wonderfully designed and so much to explore in them. Which in summer here maybe be for the best since most of that is indoors. There are also neat areas like the Waterworks you can walk through and the flash flood recreation.. so many wonderful interactive displays .. very enjoyable.

The Spring Reserve is a great diversion from the gambling and party life of the Las Vegas scene. We opted to get advanced tickets in case there was a long line but it wasn't necessary as there was no crowds. This place is somewhat easy to find but Google maps may give some misleading directions. This place was very quiet and an easy walk to get to the different exhibits and museums. Very nice displays and also very informative about the Las Vegas area and even the early LV days.

This was our third time visiting. Springs Preserve is so large and changing certain events all year long. Recently they had the Cat and Dog Show, we went to the butterfly habitat, we learned about earth Las Vegas at Boomtown, we learned about water and water waste at Water Works, the train ride was fun and educational. This place has so much for all of the family to enjoy.
