Such a fantastic time! Nuno was such a fun and generous host and the port tasting was excellent. You get a great look at Porto and then finish on the other side of the river

Nuno gave us a lively tour of downtown Porto with an in depth visit to the beautiful S. Bento train station, once a monastery. The best part of the trip was our private Port wine tasting at Sogevinus tasting room of the beaten track in Gaia with Burmester, Kopke and other great wines. All in all a fun and very educational afternoon.

Nuno was very funny, knowledgeable and kind. Despite being a rainy day we had a very enjoyable time and he recommended the best spots for views, food and drinks. Thank you!

The train station explanation was fascinating. Nano was engaging, funny and a mine of information. He was happy to go at our pace.

We had a relaxed, information-packed afternoon with our fantastic guide, Nuno. From the very first minute we learnt about Porto’s history and celebrations as we walked to the stunningly beautiful tiled train station, steeped in history. If you visit the station without a guide, you cannot fail to see its beauty on some level, but if you visit with Nuno you will TRULY see its beauty in all its historic glory. Who would have thought a train station could be so fascinating? Walking down the steep hillside alleyways - years ago far too dangerous for strangers to venture down! - we learnt about the significance of the different house colours, for example, and took many a photo along the way. Nuno recommended several restaurants which offer superb food at a more reasonable price point than the touristy restaurants on the water front. We went back to one of these in the evening to try the salted cod dishes which are so famous in the area. A magnificent recommendation for a charming small restaurant run by the nicest host host - ( Ementa Terrerinho ) - thank you for this recommendation, Nuno! 👌 After stopping briefly in Ribeiro, we walked over the bridge to Gaia to one of the stylish port wine cellars away from the main street. Nuno educated us about all things port wine over the next 90 minutes, and we had the opportunity to sample with no pressure to buy (but we did, of course!). We are in our late 50s and the pace was perfect and the highlights we covered were just right for an afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble for Nuno. Thoroughly recommend that you book a tour with this delightful young man. We loved our tour; thank you.

Very knowledgeable guide, interesting tour even in the rain, finishing with an excellent port tasting.

Fantastic tour, and every bit of credit to our guide Nuno for making it so. We toured various parts of the city and learnt so many things about the history (and the present) of Porto, which we would never have heard of by the usual sightseeing methods. We then proceeded to have the port tasting, which was very fun, interesting and tasty (even if, like me, you can't discern any single taste from the whole!)

Nuno was an amazing guide. We learned a great deal about the history and culture of Porto. The port wine education was top notch. Our only regret was we didn’t do this our first day in town. Great recommendation for local foods.

The tour was great, Nuno, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining and patient. He never hurried us along too quickly but kept everything moving along nicely. The best part was the Porto wine tasting at the end, well worth the walk. This is where Nuno’s knowledge came to the fore. He explained everything perfectly and answered all questions patiently. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough, you won’t be disappointed.
