This tour was definitely a hilight of our trip! Jerome was a fantastic guide, teaching us about the history of winemaking and the particular wineries while we sampled many wines. There were only four guests on the tour so it felt very personal, and every stop felt so unique. Everyone at the wineries as well as the stop for lunch were friendly and knowledgeable. My only wish was that I could explore for longer! I would definitely go on another tour with Jerome at the next opportunity and also recommend his tour!

Jerome was a fantastic guide! Incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the history and of course the wines. We had a lovely day tasting several different wines, and every stop on the tour was unique and fun. Highly recommended!

Great tour of the Rhine Valley, with a lot of variety of the Rieslings. Last stop visiting a family vineyard was my favorite as they are experimenting with all different types of wine including Riesling Brut. Very interesting and highly recommend.

This tour was a highlight of our trip! Jerome is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel so welcome and well taken care of throughout the day. We visited a former monastery, a tasting room in Rudesheim with over 70 different wines, and a historic family vineyard. We learned so much and the wines were fantastic. The whole area is beautiful. Highly recommend, don’t hesitate to book your tour!

We booked Jerome's tour based on his outstanding reviews; we have traveled extensively before with wine tastings in mind. The reviews are correct, it's absolutely a fantastic tour. The communication was excellent and easy. The directions to meet clear. The tour started in a medieval abbey with a great introduction to the history of Reisling wine in the area. We tasted there and that part of the tour was about an hour and half. We then drove to a wine tasting bar (multiple producers), ate a great lunch and enjoyed a variety of wines. We finished with a family-owned producer tasting. In total, the tour lasted about five and half hours. The tour was particularly enjoyable as there was an historical component plus the wine component. As someone who knows a lot about wine, Jerome is exceptionally educated, and exceptionally entertaining. Book the trip, you won't regret it.

What an excellent tour! Jerome is so friendly and knowledgeable. The tour combines history and culture with wine tastings. We saw beautiful sites while trying exceptional wines. It was so much fun. Jerome did an amazing job making sure everyone was having a good time and keeping everyone engaged. Cannot recommend this tour enough. It was definitely the highlight of my trip.

I took the Castles, Abbeys and Wine tour with Jérôme and had a great time learning about the culture and history behind the region while tasting some delicious wines. Jérôme was very knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions, and genuinely enjoyed showing you the areas we toured. For the wine lovers out there you will get to try various wines, over the course of the day we tasted roughly 20 wines and Jérôme was happy to provide recommendations of which to try if you were unsure which wine to choose. If I find myself back in Mainz I will definitely be back for another tour!

A group of family and friends went with us to Germany to see the Christmas Markets to celebrate my wife's birthday and one of our stops was in Mainz. She wanted to do a wine tour while we were there and Bottle Stops seemed like the best match for what we were looking for. Jerome was fabulous and was right where he said he would be for pickup (some of our other tours were not very clear on where to meet). The vehicle was nice and clean and the pretzel-style croissants that greeted us were amazing. Then we got to the first winery which was beautiful and gave an excellent presentation along with some very nice wines. Next was a lunch stop at a small tavern with some very good authentic German food. It was much more than I was expecting. Then we went to winery tasting two which was also beautiful and had excellent wines. This tasting also included a complete tour of the facility which was very informative and interesting. Again, Jerome was fantastic the entire time and made sure that language was never an issue. Our whole group felt like the tour was the highlight of the entire trip and would highly recommend Bottle Stop to anyone visiting the area who enjoys drinking wine.

We had an amazing time on this wine tour! Jérôme was very informative and made the experience fun and interesting. All the tastings were delicious and we learned so much about Reislings that we didn’t know about prior. Definitely a must do experience when visiting Mainz. And we now fully support sparkling wine Fridays! Thanks Jérôme!
