Kika is a precious person and an amazing guide! We had a great day and tasted lots of different foods and learned a lot! She was delightful and accommodating (we wanted to taste barnacles and she obliged!) and introduced us to wonderful people along the way who are passionate and love their jobs in the food industry. It was a great way to spend a day in Lisbon!

10/10 !! This is such a great way to explore a new country. My family and I learned so much about the culture of Lisbon from our guide Cecilia who so wonderfully tied together the history of the city through its traditional dishes. I loved that we were able to walk through the streets and explore places we never would have on our own. I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn a little, eat a little, and live a little!!

We had a great time visiting many places and trying different kinds of seafood. Kika was a wonderful guide. Went to Time Out Market to get pastel de nata and try the canned sardines which were really good. Went to tascas and had little clams and had grilled cod, sardines and vegetables. A lot of walking but it was worth it!

Wonderful day meeting food producers, market traders and chefs. Innés was full of stories and history of Lisbon and its food culture and her personal knowledge of the people we met really helped make a special day. We loved it!

The Culinary Backstreets seafood tour was the highlight of our time in Lisbon. Kika was an incredible guide, extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much while sampling a wide range of seafood and other culinary delights on the tour. Everything was delicious! We would not have found these local gems without Culinary Backstreets. Looking forward to returning to Lisbon and trying some of Kika's other recommendations!

Our guide was great. She was well versed in local food and history. Individual places we visited were interesting and the selection of tastings was good. Our only concern was the distance between stops. This walking tour is over 5 hours in duration and was challenging given Lisbon’s hills and steps. We have been on Culinary Backstreet tours in six other cities and have always given them 5 stars. When we plan our trips we always look for a Culinary Backstreet tour to start our exploration of a new city. This may have been the wrong tour for us in Lisbon and we will try their Lisbon Neighborhood tour on our next visit.

Outstanding adventure! Loved the vast variety of flavors and cultures represented on the tour. Celia did a wonderful job with the tour and it was a great pleasure to be in her company again.

The title of the tour, Song of the Sea: Fish, Seafood and Tradition in Lisbon’s Port Zone, is a bit misleading. It was a port zone before...

A perfect end to our time in Lisbon. We worried we had seen and tasted it all when scheduling this for our last day in Lisbon but we were so wrong. Inez was the perfect guide. Taking us to hidden gems and local places we could’t have navigated with her. The samosas’ were delicious and the dried cod and fishmongers - fascinating. Inez was the perfect guide with her passion for the food and people of her city. Highly recommend!

On our first trip to Portugal, we wanted to avoid the crowds and experience Portuguese food, culture, and history. Our guide Ines was a font of information as she took us to these tiny places we never would have found by ourselves. We had a great time and learned a lot!
