This tour company is the best way to visit New Orleans! Cassandra is supremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. She told the whole story - geography, culture, economy, political, all the historic figures from the 1700s to present day. Cassandra took great care of us, feeding us beignets and chicory coffee first thing. She was flexible to our needs.

We had visited NOLA countless times over the past 25 years but this is first time we actually took a tour. We learned so much and it was fun! The stories are really, really, really cool. Cassandra has a pleasant presence and it was effortless for our family to spend half a day with her. For a cranky old man like me, that says a lot. Funny, the next day, we bumped into Cassandra in the middle of nowhere an hour from New Orleans. She told us there was good seafood restaurant nearby. We tried. It was really, really good, indeed. Cassandra used to do food tours. If you love food, she knows a lot about food. For us, that was a big bonus! She is knowledgeable and has good taste. She gave us recommendations of places to see, to eat, etc. We enjoyed them all. We had a good time! Thanks, Cassandra!!! All the very best to you and your team!

We loved our tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We've been to New Orleans on several occasions and have done tours previously. We were excited to visit new places and learn information that we had not heard before. Part of our tour was in our guide's car. The car was very clean and comfortable. We loved that this tour was private, just the four of us. We could ask questions, take our time and even stop for a beverage along the way. We would highly recommend this tour!

We loved our tour with Soul of Nola. Cassandra was invested in listening to our interests to create a perfectly customized experience. She is articulate and engaging and connects history and culture to present day. Her unique approach peaked our curiousity for further reading and interest in NOLA. I was able to coordinate a pickup and drop off from our stay at Houmas House. She exceeded any and all expectations. I 100% recommend Soul of Nola. We can't wait to come back for another tour to dive in deeper.

We booked a captivating four-day trip to New Orleans with Soul of Nola, accommodating four adults, including two seniors. Cassandra orchestrated an exceptional experience by connecting us with an incredible French guide who immersed us in the rich history of Louisiana and New Orleans. Over four days, we absorbed much knowledge while exploring the French Quarter, the Garden District, the bayou, and two enchanting plantations. Our guide, René, accompanied us for three hours daily, contributing to a well-crafted itinerary and allowing us to embark on our afternoon adventures. Thanks to René's guidance, we stumbled upon a less crowded Café du Monde and enjoyed the soulful tunes of Jazz. The entire itinerary surpassed our expectations, delivering an unforgettable experience.

We were just in New Orleans for a few days with family of varying ages. We booked last minute and Cassandra was so great in making it happen for us! Although some of us had been to New Orleans before and were familiar with the French Quarter and Garden District, Cassandra gave us insights and information about places we never knew. Her grasp of New Orleans history, culture and people were amazing! She managed to entertain (and educate!) teenagers, 20 somethings, and us older folk. It was a really great afternoon.

... then you've found the right place. We were only in NOLA for a few days and wanted to pack in as much as possible with my parents. We ended up finding Soul of Nola run by Cassandra and after reading her reviews and history in the city, we knew we found the right place. We did three private tours with her company - French Quarter, Garden District and a tour out to Destrehan Plantation and each of them was perfect. We were able to go at our own pace, spend more time where we wanted to, and learn both major history points, along with a ton of little things you wouldn't otherwise notice about the city. If you're looking for great guides and a totally customized itinerary made for what you're interested in (our focus was history, and they knocked it out of the park) then Soul of Nola is who you want to go with. Cassandra also had a ton of recommendations for us and each one was exactly what we were looking for.

We were going to New Orleans for a friends 40th birthday so our group consisted of 3 couples. We wanted to go on a tour that was about the history and culture of New Orleans. I have gone on a lot of tours throughout my life in many different states and countries. This is one of the best I have been on. From start to finish Cassandra was so responsive and quickly addressed all my questions. In fact I was very worried about the weather as a major storm was coming in. She text me and constantly kept me updated about the weather and the different options we could do in case it rained. She even offered to move the tour last minute to a different day in case we didn't want to brave the rain. Ultimately, we decided to just brave the weather. We got very lucky and were able to do the entire walking tour of the French quarter. She was very knowledgable about the history of New Orleans. At the end of the French Quarter part of the tour, the rain began to pour. Cassandra ran to get the van and picked us up to take us to the Garden District. She pointed out interesting places along the way and discussed the history, By the time we got to the garden district it had stopped raining but she provided umbrellas for the group in case. Again she tailored the garden district tour to our group. We mainly were in town for a Lions/Saints game. Since she knew we had NFL fans she took us by the Mannings house which was one of the highlights for my friend. He is still talking about 4 days later. Cassandra is just a very thoughtful tour guide who really went above and beyond to provide the best experience for our group. She wanted to make the entire tour personal to us which is why I wanted a private tour. It was very conversational vs facts just being stated. Cassandra also recommended some food spots to check out since we love food and always seek out the best restaurants in the cities we go to. She recommended Cochon Butcher which was out of this world. We loved it. The other reviews don't lie. Cassandra is amazing. Book the tour with them.

Derek was an exceptional tour guide. He had an abundance of detailed knowledge about the city. Throughly enjoyed by everyone in my family.

This driving and walking private tour was the best we’ve ever had! Cassandra is so knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. She even had maps handy to be able to show us how and when things started in the city. She was also very flexible, creating the tour based on our needs, and changing the date for us because the day that we had booked was very very hot. She’s very personable and super nice. We had the best time!
