Los Charcones

As an island, Lanzarote is surrounded by wild, practically virgin beaches with little waves. In some of them the water is so calm that there are even natural pools. The breakwaters and the solidified lava on part of its coast have also caused the formation of pools and puddles on the seashore where one can soak and forget about time.

Estatua De Los Salineros Y Salineras De Janubio

We will observe from the Mirador de Las Salinas de Janubio. Then we will go down to see the salt lagoons up close and we will go through the store where you can buy natural Janubio salts. These salt flats are the largest in the Canary Islands and constitute a high architectural and cultural value. Today they continue to produce the white gold they called it, salt, which was essential to the island's economy until not many decades ago. They are in a lagoon created by volcanic eruptions that created a lava barrier in front of the sea where the black beach of Salinas was also created by nature, with sand and tiny black rocks that contrast with the white foam with which the sea caress its shore.

Playa del Janubio

We will go to the black beach of Janubio, where we will be surprised to observe the large lava rocks full of precious green stones called Olivina, the crystallization of the lava in contrast to the sea created this wonder of Lanzarote green, and sometimes fiery red. A walk along this beach finding treasures will be very relaxing and a great experience.

Bar Stop

The Stop de Yaiza Tapas Bar is one of the places that should not be missed, the tapas are recipes from 1890 and the Malvasia Volcanica wines are from the house, we will make a stop to eat some tapas and recharge our batteries.

Admission Included

La Geria

The incredible wine area called La Geria is the most ingenious sight to behold on the island, farmers devised a way to dig up their plants covered in volcano ash which at the same time has created a unique view of their fields. We will visit the wineries, the tasting is free and not included in the price.

On a girls trip, three of us in total. What an amazing time we had with Lola. So accommodating and welcome, made us feel at ease from the get go. Picked us up from our hotel and the adventure began. Amazing knowledge of the local area and offered great facts throughout the tour. Took us to lots of amazing spots, especially when we stopped in a small town for some exceptional tapas. Lola is clearly someone who loves what she does and gives everything to the tour. Highlight of our holiday and could not recommend her more to show you lots of amazing parts of the island. Feel like she managed to pack so much into our today, couldn't have asked for more. Took lots of photos of our day and sent them over after.

A few hours with Lola, seeing the island through her eyes, you’ll find yourself in love with Lanzorote, if not already! Go out of your comfort zone to find hidden wonders on the shores, you start to notice all the beauty in the landscape, learn new things, notice all the different life on the island and most off all have so much fun while Lola captures the day for you so you can play it back over and over! Best day! Thank you so much!

We had a very enjoyable introduction to Lanzarote which included a very enjoyable light lunch, a trip to a wine producer and some wonderful views of the landscape. Lola was a good driver and very informative.

I have really thought about posting this review, as it's clear Lola is much-loved and probably a nice person, but we had a terrible experience. I'm writing this so she understands why we got angry, but also so you double-check what you're actually buying. The booking red flags should have warned me: I was contacted immediately to say it was overbooked and would I do another tour, but I wanted this specific one so we changed the date. It then took quite a bit of chasing to get the pick up time and what I needed to bring. One day before, I got a text saying the route was changing anyway as the weather made the original route 'dangerous' - why was never clear, although it has rained for 2 hours on the Saturday, the tour was on Monday which was due to be sunny). I should have just cancelled then. On the day, Lola turned up in a 'Mummy car' the sort people do school runs in, not a proper minibus or similar. There was a passenger in the front and an older lady in the middle of the back seat. When we went to sit with her, she made no attempt to move her self/things and looked horrified. I think sensing the awkwardness, Lola suggested the very back - which after scrambling over the seats (no door) & committing to the action (not easy at 55 & 60), turned out to be child-sized jump seats in the boot. Again, I should have cancelled then, but husband and I said to each other that we would sort the situation at the first stop. We drove towards Timanfaya park for about 30 minutes, husband's knees near his chest. Lola was describing things to the front passenger but we couldn't hear a thing in the boot, and there was no aircon on so we started to feel car sick. When we got to the park we queued for 20 minutes (in the car) to get a ticket - and again a red flag should have made me say something as Lola kept taking about the queue lengths and hating queueing. To our horror we then drove to the back of another line that snaked all the way up the mountain. At this point I asked how long we would be and she said 20 minutes, but then she kept saying how bad the queues 'usually' are. I heard her tell the front passenger that once in we would queue on foot (for a long time) and then get on a bus for a 40 minute tour - and that was the entire experience! By now, I was really not happy. The passenger asked about the tour timings and was told that 'with all this' we would only have time to do this one bit. So at this point I asked Lola to ring a taxi or a colleague to pick us up - she had nobody and so we insisted she turned round and dropped us at the nearest town. My husband did get angry when he told her the car wasn't suitable and she said that he had chosen to sit in the boot seats (thus implying it was our own fault) and so we refused to continue. 2 hours after we got in, we got out of the car and took a £25 taxi back to the hotel. I know you can't control queues, but the way Lola kept talking about them told me that she knew it was going to be horrendous but chose that option anyway. That's what made us mad the most. We felt duped, the car was unsuitable, the 'tour' was a mess from start to finish and - to no great surprise - the refund we were promised still hasn't happened. So, better luck to you, if you choose to go ahead.

What a fabulous time we had, felt like I had met my friend after years and she was showing us all her favourite places to be. What a beautiful place Lanzarote is, get out the usual holiday bubble and meet and see the authentic Canary Islands. Tapas was amazing !!! Lola is a great guide, enthusiastic about making sure you have a great experience to take home with you. It was a pleasure for us to be in her company and we were and are humbled by the strength of character and the hard work of the people who make Lanzarote so wonderful. You won’t be disappointed, but you will want more .thanks Lola, we loved it 😀

Lola is such a star& could not have done any more. She thinks about everything. If you want real Lanzarote go with Lola to see coastal pools protected from the crashing waves, Lanzarote’s innovative wine industry with tasting. Try local tapas like you have never tasted, see how sea salt is harvested and much more. Thank you Lola - we cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic. Our guide was wonderful. Lots of information and interesting facts. She was kind and patient with us. Saw some beautiful parts of the island that we would not have seen if it wasn't for the trip. Had a good swim in the pools. Loved the wine tasting and the lunch. Would definitely do again. Thank you 😊
