If you want a first class 10 star experience this is the tour company to choose! From the time I booked (Oct) until the time we toured (Dec) Sandy, Calais, and his crew were outstanding. We booked three tours with them - each one outstanding! Communication, desire to meet your specific travel needs, historic knowledge, customer service and friendly but professional care - all top notch...I cannot say enough about this company. When we return to beautiful Scotland, we will be booking with them again. I have been in hospitality for over 20 years and as a retired military officer I have been all over the world experiencing a myriad of tours/places/cultures...these young men know how to do it right. Thank you, Sandy and Calais for taking such great care of us. Love love love you guys.

My mom and I regret booking with two different tour companies prior to coming Edinburgh because Experienced Tours was the far superior experience! We wish we had done every single tour with Experienced Tours! Our guide, Sandy, was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, charming, thoughtful, personable…in fact there’s not enough room to list all of Sandy’s positive attributes! He is truly a master of his craft. Not only did he show us all of Edinburgh’s must-sees but he also took us to hidden gems and places we didn’t even know we wanted to see! His passion for and command of Scottish history and culture is evident and contagious. He left us thoroughly invested in wanting to learn more about this great wee country! We typically don’t revisit countries but we are definitely coming back to Scotland and will reach out to Sandy when we do!

Andy was an amazing Tour guide. He was knowledgeable and accommodating! He took us to see highland cows as we requested. Amazing lunch at the oldest surviving pub. The chapel and castle were impressive. He made everything as easy as possible and even found us a store for wool. I recommend Andy for any tour. He took us to castle ruins so we could visit Outlander site. Andy made our visit memorable.

Amazing experience!! Sandy was very kindly with us all the time! The whisky shot in the end was the cherry in the cake!

Our guide Andy was amazing. It was a bank holiday, and Edinburgh was crazy busy. He was able to adapt the tour so we did have to spend most of our day standing in line waiting for attractions. He was a wealth of local knowledge, easy to speak with, and open to answering all our questions. We knew that we would already be coming back in the next couple of years, but Andy really provided us with a foundation for our next visit.

Note - we actually did the Speyside day tour out of Inverness. Experienced Tours is amazing to work with! Not only was booking seamless, but Alexander reached out to find out more about our interests so that the tour could be customized for us. On the day, Jamie was everything we could have hoped for from a tour guide - knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly helpful! Not only did he go out of his way to make our experience on the tour a great one, but he also gave us recommendations for our next two days in the area. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and I will make sure to book them for any future trips to the area!

If you're looking for history, a drive through the beautiful Scotish countryside, and whisky; this is the tour for you! From Edinburgh to Speyside was a 3 hour drive through a variety of breathtaking landscapes. Our guide told us many captivating stories about the history of Scotland, which really shortened the trip. We also made several stops along the way. The distilleries were fascinating to tour to get an idea of where the legendary whisky comes from and how it's made. Absolutely loved our guide! Could not recommend this more.

Fantastic experience whiskey tasting in the Scottish Highlands. Experienced Tours accommodated our slightly crazy request to do a day trip from Edinburgh into Speyside in order to experience the whiskey distilleries. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and shared lots of Scottish history and stories which made the long drive fly by. Our guide set up a tour and tasting at one of the distilleries which was lovely. It was an unforgettable day and I would recommend Experienced Tours to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

This tour was fantastic. We had some technology issues at first, when emails couldn’t be received by experienced tours, but once I got a hold of Alex by text, it was smooth sailing. In fact, so smooth that when we realized we had booked the wrong day, Alex generously found a different company to take care of our tour. Sean, our driver, was a lively individual with a lot of good jokes. He knew the area well, was able to adapt and cater to our needs, and went out of his way to ensure we got the experience we looked for. The only slight negative is that the tour was a bit expensive. I’m not sure I found it entirely worth it. But I had a great time, and that’s what matters now.

We took the private day trip from Edinburgh to Speyside with Alexander and it was PERFECT. I had reached out when we were planning the trip and Alexander was wonderful to work with - super responsive and very helpful. The communication was great and he arrived early to pick us up on the tour day. Since we were doing a 1 day trip, it was a lot of driving but he has warned us about that in advance. 3 1/2 hours later we were at our first stop at Strathisla Distillery where we did the blend tour and tried several items and got to make our own blend. This was tons of fun and it was just the 2 of us on that tour. Afterwards, we went to The Macallan for lunch which was fancy and tasty. Alexander was kind enough to let us stop at one additional distillery just for a photo since it was a brand distributed by the company my husband works for. After that we were on our way back to Edinburgh. It was a lot to cram into one day with the travel required but we had an amazing time. The Mercedes van was very comfortable and we have zero complaints. We highly recommend Experienced Tours and Alexander is incredible!
