We did the historical tour with Doug. He was very knowledgeable and well spoken. It felt like we had known him for years! Touring Saint Petersburg on bike was a fantastic way to see so much of the city.

This tour combined three of our favorite things: biking, history and food. All were very enjoyable. Our guide, Doug, is very personable, knowledgeable and obviously loves his hometown. We biked through downtown St. Pete and along the waterfront mostly in bike lanes and on paths, a few times on sidewalks. We felt very safe. The bikes were in good condition. The lunch spot was a small, local restaurant with outdoor seating; the food was delicious. We gained an appreciation for the city that we would have never gotten by just visiting and staying in a hotel. Highly recommend this tour!!

This was an amazing experience. Doug, the guide, was knowledgeable about the history of St Petersburg and answered all our questions. The bike ride itself is easy (no hills) and you got to see many of the sights in the area. Lunch is at quaint small mom and pop restaurant. The burgers were delicious. We throughly enjoyed our tour.

My wife and I are avid cyclists and are always looking for new biking experiences. Typically, these are on longer trails that traverse mostly countryside. On a whim, we decided to try something different and do a city bike tour. We registered online and met our tour guide, Doug, at 10 in the morning two days later. We signed the requisite paperwork and we were off. We chose to bring our own bikes and ride those, so no comments about the bikes. So this is all about the tour and the tour guide, Doug. In short he was excellent. It was obvious that he had spent a great deal of time reading about the history of the city of St. Petersburg. We cycled around the city, mostly on sidewalks, and made stops at various points of interest. These stops were also accompanied by detailed explanations of their history and their significance to the city. Apparently, the founders of the city, as wells as early administrators, showed extreme foresight in the development of the city. For example, they declined to allow the harbor to become an industrial complex, they bought the shoreline so that it could be preserved for public use, and they zoned for parks, shops, and promenades in a way that would remind you of many European cities. We were able to ride our bikes out to the end of the St. Pete pier for a gorgeous view of the bay and the city. For lunch, we made a slight detour behind the Dali museum to edge of the USF campus to a quaint little restaurant that served excellent food. The remaining hour of the tour was spend riding through other parts of the city and viewing some of the many murals (more than 700) that exist. It was a great experience for my wife and me. I would add that my wife was a little nervous about biking in the city, but she handled it well. It helped that it was done on a Wednesday. A weekend ride might be a bit more difficult. We would like thank Doug for his encyclopedic knowledge of the city and for taking care of us as we rode. It is a trip well worth doing.

My wife and I took this tour and had a great time with Doug. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he is passionate about St Pete. The bikes are smooth, comfortable and easy to ride. Would highly recommend taking this tour!

My husband and I made up a mini-tour of 2 with Doug from the bike tour operation. Doug is a great guy with a genuine love of his town. As we slowly biked around town for 3 hours on a hot-but-breezy August morning, along the harbor and downtown streets and neighborhoods, Doug filled us in on the history and founders of St. Pete from its early railroad and aviation days to its ups and downs in the 20th and 21st century. St. Pete's is currently on the upswing, with lots of construction and new restaurants. After viewing some murals, we made a pit stop at the funky Crislip Cafe in an old arcade to order a free coffee of our choice (try the iced mocha) and then near the end, Doug led us to our free lunch at a local café located next to the beautiful university (I enjoyed the large & tasty Thai chicken salad). The tour might have been a tad long at 3 hours, but we saw a lot and went back to several places later that day on Doug's recommendation (such as the don't-miss Dali Museum). We recommend this friendly cycling introduction to St. Petersburg.

Perfect way to see Saint Petersburg and learn about it origins and history. Doug took our small group on a relaxing tour along the waterfront and through the city with stops to point out important features, offer some interesting commentary on the history and answer our questions. A relaxing and entertaining morning with coffee stop and later a delicious lunch at a unique cafe before returning along the waterfont. Highly recommended.

This was a lot of fun. Doug, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history and was able to tailor the message for our group. This was just what we were looking for, a relaxing ride. We highly recommend it.
