We are local to the area and see the speedboat tour often and decided to check this tour out for ourselves! Our guide Scott was hilarious, insightful and informative. The whole process was smooth. Driving the boat was easy to learn and a lot of fun. We had a great time!

Highly recommend this tour! We booked two boats for our family and it was the perfect 1.5 hour excursion. Captain Scott was knowledgeable and friendly, and made sure we had fun while keeping safe.

Do you think you have done everything well? How about adding the ability to drive a speed boat to your list? Well, that's exactly what I did. This was just flipping amazing. The location is a little off the beaten path. However, it has a beautiful beach right next to it, so if you show up early enough or stay after, there is basically a "local" beach, and it's beautiful. You want to show up a little early for the safety briefing and to take some great pics. You can bring whatever except alcohol or weapons so if you want to bring some water you can. I had no idea, so I didn't. Also, I would recommend great pockets or a fanny pack because you can't set your phone on the seat as it will slide into the back of the boat and be gone. I put mine in my shorts pocket between pics and videos. This is so cool. You are taught by a wonderful captain who has 30+ years of experience in the industry. He will lead you on a jet ski into the open water waters of Tampa Bay. You will get almost 45 minutes of high-speed boating excitement. Make sure to watch for any waves and follow all the tips and rules you learn in the beginning, and you will have a time of your life. You will go past places you can't see on land and experience going under bridges while being able to say, "I know how to drive a boat now." That's a bucket list if you ask me. I would highly recommend this thrilling adventure next time you are in Tampa. It really is like a Segway tour with speedboats!!! I went when it was like 65 degrees out, and with the sun, it was perfect. I recommend sunscreen and maybe a secure hot in the summertime. You must try this, though!! The MOST fun you're going to have on the water in Pass-A-Grille! You're already here reading excellent review after excellent review, which means you want to go, whether that's a wave runner, a pontoon, or a mini-speedboat, so do it! Don't worry if you have zero boating experience; it truly does not matter. I swear, I haven't had this much fun in a quite some time. My husband and I booked a mini speedboat at the end of the day and lucked out with Captain Scott. Oh my God, I felt like we have been friends with him forever. One of the most genuine people I've ever met. We had an absolute BLAST with him, chatting as we idled in wake zones and as he pointed out some of the interesting things to see. I had no idea we were going to see so much - you aren't just circling an island. . .you're really out for a tour! It's so much fun being able to switch it up going fast and then hugging the docks and going at a much more leisurely pace in wake/idle zones. Captain Scott is the real deal. On the way back to the marina, we had just passed an oncoming boat and had some big waves to navigate. *THEN,* a big boat (okay, big when you're in a 13' boat) cut between us and Captain Scott when we were running at full throttle. It was obvious that the other boat did it on purpose. Even before the guy cut between us, Scott radioed over to us *immediately* to tell us what we should do to make sure we stayed safe (I actually happened to be taking video when this other boater did this). It was also kinda cool that a few minutes later, the Pinellas County Sheriff's boat went past, sirens running, chasing down that guy. But rest assured that Captain Scott has his eyes on you even when you're at full throttle and you're behind him. When you are in the middle of a lot of boat traffic, he has his eyes on you. That's important, and it's evident that he wants you to have fun AND stay safe. My husband and I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and we would certainly ask for Captain Scott on any other tour that we book when we return. Thanks so much for a great afternoon!

This was the best part about our trip to the Tampa/Clearwater area. Being in control of a boat was a first for us and we had a blast and highly recommend. Scott our Captain was a blast and made us feel very comfortable and checked in with us frequently to make certain we were ok. The free parking was a plus and on the same premises.

This was such a wonderful overall experience! Captain Scott guided us around Tampa Bay and provided not only some very interesting historical info, but funny real life stories too while cruising around. We loved the mixture of going fast as well as the slow cruise to take in the sites. With zero experience handling a boat, there was never a point where we felt scared or unsafe, which was really important, and we loved being able to switch who was driving mid point, so that both of us can fully experience this.

Our speedboating experience was 12 outta 10, the views were great and Captain Scott was a true joy to tour with! He made this surprise experience for my husband so incredible. We even lucked up and saw a dolphin up close! We'll definitely be back and tell all of our friends to try this!
