Avebury Stone Circle

Much older and bigger than Stonehenge and still encircled by the large ditch and earth bank that has vanished at Stonehenge. Explore and touch the largest Stonecircle in the world (actually there are multiple circles here) and away from the big coach groups that go to Stonehenge but can't get here!

Silbury Hill

See Europes tallest Neolithic structure, just a mile or so away from Avebury. It was already ancient when the Romans built upon it.

West Kennet Long Barrow

Visit the inside of an old Neolithic burial mound, built by the civlisation that created Avebury (and Stonehenge). Please note that the Long Barrow is 10-15 minutes walk up a steep hill. It is largely unvisited but access may not be possible in the wet/mud or recommended for people with poor mobility or ill-health.
