What to expect
Sturgeon Bay
Historic charm and the natural beauty of a strategic shipping corridor meet a blue-collar ethic in Sturgeon Bay, Door County’s world-renowned shipbuilding hub. From thousand-foot lakers to small bass-fishing boats, this community’s heritage is all about boats and water.
Door County Maritime Museum
Will will view the outside of the Door County Maritime Museum--between the downtown bridges on Sturgeon Bay’s working waterfront. Shipbuilding history, extensive ship model collection, refurbished steamship pilot house, and classic boats.
Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal
Constructed in the 1800s, the Sturgeon Bay ship canal allowed vessels to cut through the Door peninsula instead of using the dangerous Deaths Door passage at the tip of the county.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
