    Last week my husband travelled to Eumundi and enjoyed a "Bush Food" experience. We ate everything from Crayfish to Kangaroo, Crocodile, a wonderful vegetable curry, macadamia falafels and too many more savoury dishes to mention! The courses all cooked in interesting ways including dessert, were flavoured with bush herbs and spices including a wild black peppercorn found on the West Coast of Tassie, the hard to find Gympie lime, toasted crushed Wattle Seeds, Davisons plum and on.. and on.. If you get an opportunity to enjoy this tour with Live It Tours Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast - a great one to do!

    Begin the day at a perfectly civilised time of 9:30am as you are picked up by luxury 4WD at your Sunshine Coast accommodation. Travelling up the Blackall Range to Maleny, the first stop is Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, boasting subtropical rainforest and overlooking the stunning Glass House Mountains. Here we take a private guided walk with an informative local expert through the tranquil reserve, a living museum of diverse plant and animal life unique to the Sunshine Coast. Next, visit a famous Montville Vineyard and restaurant for a private wine tasting where you are introduced to a selection of 100% estate-grown wines complimented by a selection of local epicure cheeses. Taste a range of distinctive wines while learning about their varietal qualities and fruit richness – a delectable wine lover’s experience! You then sit down to the ultimate paddock-to-platter experience sharing a delicious charcuterie platter of seasonal farm cured meats and game, Berkshire ham off the bone, terrine, pate, marinated and pickled vegetables, house-made relish and a selection of locally made Artisan breads complimented with a bottle of estate wine.
