Itinerary
A typical lesson will include 1.5 hours of instruction and board rental. We will begin with a group introduction followed by a current conditions / marine life report. I will go over water safety and etiquette then we will begin stretching. Land class includes instruction of proper prone position, paddling technique, the "pop up", and proper stance. Depending on conditions, I will decide the length of instruction regarding "paddling out." (duck diving, log roll, nose dives, etc). I will assist each surfer with line-up placement and push them into waves if needed. All ages are welcome!

The lesson was amazing and the instructor very cool, but I had problems booking through tripadvisor and I almost could not receive the lesson because of that.
AC and Cody are super passionate, great teachers. They obviously love what they do and their enthusiasm is exceptionally contagious! Our twin 14 year old daughters had their first surf lesson with these cool cats, and they absolutely loved it. We’re not sure how we missed out on previous Okaloosa Island trips, but will FOR SURE hit these guys up next year for at least one more lesson. One of the greatest endorsements: the locals at The Angler all know AC and had nothing but great things to say. Thanks so much to both of you - it was an awesome time!!
Good communication with staff and flexible . Had to reschedule due to weather conditions and they were flexible and stayed in contact.
My 10yr old daughter and I both had a great time. AC was great in every aspect in showing us how to get up on a board. $ well spent. Anyone looking for a quick beginner surf lesson, this is a must. AC was a great instructor and him being a local from the area enhanced the experience. My daughter has not quit talking about it since the lesson. Looking forward to continuing to learn more for beach trips in the future.
