I highly recommend Local Sauce tours. The communication was excellent, the guide was friendly and informative and the places and food in Five Dock were interesting and delicious. My two country friends and I (a city girl) loved our morning.

We joined Justin and a group of 12 for a walk around the Italian shops in Five Dock. It was a very interesting and tasty tour. Justin led the group in a relaxed and friendly manner & we all had an excellent time plus came away with some great ideas and places to re-visit. I would have liked yo know a little more about the attraction of Italians to this area and maybe some more of the Italian cultural background to the foods we sampled. Having said that. We had a really excellent morning.

Such a fantastic tour of 'Little Italy' in Sydney. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and at all of the places we visited we were treated to a real feast. I will definitely be going back to Five Dock to visit the deli again! Thank you Local Sauce tours for such an excellent experience

Thanks Justin, for showing me these shops which offer yummy food to their customers and maintained the great tradition of generous Italian hospitality from the different regions of Italy. We tasted food which reflect their family traditions and recipes from Rome, Napoli and Sicily. Our tummy was very full that by the end, we rolled along Great Northern Rd of Fivedock.

Justin organises the tour well and is talented in connecting people. The shops owners are friendly and welcoming. It is a tour suitable for locals and overseas visitors.

We have followed Justin on four tours in and around Sydney all to do with food and drink and street art and history. He is always well-researched on the food and the places he takes us to - whether hidden drinking spots or China Town eateries, Newtown’s various delights, etc. But in August we joined his new tour requested by Fivedock to renew interest following severe disruptions to its business street due to a new rail station being constructed. This is part of Sydney’s inner west noted for its Italian food - from a butchery the owner of which is the 13th generation of the family to take up this skill - and what an amazing person and business. There was a delicatessen, a cafeteria (coffees, hot chocolates), a pasticceria - and a gelateria, too. Every business traced its foundations back into Italy (including the gelato of Sicilian provenance. Authentic, in other words. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it all thanks to Justin and his thorough preparation and general bonhomie not only with those on our tour but with the businesses which we visited - and though this review is written three months later and from Salt Lake City - we remember it with much enjoyment.

This was definitely memorable! I have been living in Sydney for years but Justin showed us around food places that we've never been not to mention the history of the place. Its also interesting to know that these authentic shops are 2nd or 3rd generation italians that have authentic italian cuisines and food. He gets to know them personally which adds to the experience. More than just a food trip!

It was an amazing opportunity to know that we have so many Italian food places in Five Dock. It was also good that we could learn about the history of Italians in Sydney.

So much food packed into two hours, definitely don't plan for lunch afterwards! Real value for money and also loved hearing the stories of the generations of Italian families at these businesses. Definite must do for tourists AND locals! Thank you Justin for an awesome experience.
