    We loved the experience. Everything was adorable. However, the next time we wouldn't buy from the places that the guide took us to. The prices there were too high comparing to other places.

    Boat was good, bus then into the city and a walking tour with an optional further 2 hours. This is worth doing as the guide shows you all the sights and stops off at spice shops etc. He also took us to a good restaurant there we had a traditional Moroccan meal for a very reasonable 15 euros. Further 2 hours left to explore on your own before getting the bus back to the ferry.

    We found the trip to Tangier from Tarifa quite disappointing. The boat ride itself involved lining up for practically the whole time for passport checks. But worse was the experience in Tangier itself. Our guide was not good. She basically took us around the markets to different shops where she obviously had a relationship with the owners and we were sat down and given a sales pitch on their wares. The pressure was uncomfortable and we weren’t in the mood for buying stuff we didn’t need. At the end of her tour she let us have free time for 2 hours… but we’d already seen enough and just sat around avoiding more harassment to buy stuff and waiting for the time to catch the boat back. When we went to get the boat back, our guide said goodbye and failed to tell us that she had given the travel documents that we needed to board the ship to another guide. The ship officials didn’t let us on board and there were many of us left confused trying to work out what we needed to do. Finally the other guide turned up with the documents. I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

    booked this tour through getyourguide but its actually this tour. Booked it the day before because it was cheaper than buying just the ferry ticket Email was received by Getyourguide & from the ferry company FRS. At the port go to FRS checkin & show them your email (ref number) and they will give you the ticket & arrivals paper and a grey tour sticker (there are several different colours depending on what tour you are doing... this one is supposed to be for just an hour and then free time). They don’t give you the return ticket you only get that off the guide later. Ferry is 1 hr, onboard you have to fill the arrivals form & queue up to get your passport stamped, we sat until the queue was gone & this was as the ferry docked. Off the boat you queue at the bag scanner & queue to get on bus, this took nearly an hour. We didn’t get the bus, we had took off sticker & just walked out of the port into town, 10 mins. This meant we got photos in town without the 400 other passengers.. Later we saw the guide (who was lovely & spoke English )sitting in a cafe & got our return ferry ticket off her, apparently she had said on the bus where she would be and to collect the ticket off her later. If we hadn't seen her (the city is tiny so chances are you will) Our plan was to get to ferry early & get ticket off her there.. Tangiers is nothing special, not a lot to see, so honestly not really worth it, but its so close to Tarifa we thought "why not" we've been to Marrakesh and this city is not as vibrant as that, so we went for a hamman to fill time which was fabulous

    Port of Tarifa

    You will meet your FRS guide at the port of Tarifa to board the ferry. You will travel by fast ferry to Tangier Ville. The crossing lasts approximately 1 hour. Once in Tangier, you will disembark at the Port of Tangier Ville.

    Panoramic tour of the modern city of Tangier. On this bus tour you will see the entire modern city of Tangier.

    Port de Tanger Ville

    Finally, we will take you by bus to the Port of Tangier Ville to take the ferry back to Tarifa. The crossing with the fast ferry will have the same duration as in the morning. When we arrive in Tarifa, we will disembark and the excursion ends.
