Loved the tour, althought they could not pick us from the Gran Melia Palacio De Isora, they provided an alternative pick from Royal River Luxury Hotel . The guide, a lady, was very knowlegeable and made the trip worthwhile, expalining the history of the island, tha fauna and of course the backgroudn to Mount Taide and the Volcano. We did the cable ride to Mount Teide as well, a must do tour.

Technically, this tour was fine: we were picked up on time, and our travel guide was knowledgeable and fluent in English, Spanish and German. My reservations about the tour are really more about my own tastes: unless you like rocks - big rocks, small rocks, piles of rocks, jagged rocks, smooth rocks, black rocks, grey rocks, rocks ground into sand, etc. you may not find this tour terribly engaging. I did not. The cable car was not running on the day we did the tour - I understand this is totally beyond the control of the tour company but if we had been able to take the cable car, the tour might have been less uninteresting.

So much time wasted on the bus and hanging about. We stayed at Paraiso and were picked up last so dropped off last. This was todayā€™s itinerary: Picked up 30 mins late 0815 0830 Stopped at a bus stop to offload those who are walking Teide and those who speak German so they can pick up another bus. Hung about for 25 mins 0855 left bus stop Missed out the 30 min coffee stop because guide said there were too many buses there already because we were running late. Then goodness or Iā€™d have been raging at all this fannying about. 0945 arrived Base area, allowed off bus for 15 mins to look round 1006 left, 1015 arrive Teide cable car, told weā€™re leaving again at 1215 Left 1229 1240 stopped at volcano for 10 min wander 1325 stop again at coffee/gift shop to wait on our 6 German speakers coming back Left 1356 Multiple drop offs at various hotels before we got back to our hotel 1510 Felt like it was such a waste of a day. I read some other reviews and realise now weā€™d have been better getting the local bus there and buying our cable car ticket separately

Excellent, knowledgable guide, comfortable bus. The time given for pick up through trip advisor was however was inaccurate by 30 mins so we had a long wait for bus at 7.30am. Both visitor centres visited were very nice. Unfortunately due to wind conditions we were unable to go on cable car which was a big disappointment as this was the whole point of the trip for us. Guide told us that we are entitled to receive a refund for the cost of the cable car. I absolutely cannot find where on trip advisor to request this refund. I wish I had booked directly with the tour company.

I booked the tour with the chairlift, but it was too windy. Awaiting a partial refund. I'm glad I got to see the park, but there isn't really enough time to hike which would have been great! There was a stop 30min into the drive which wasn't really necessary, and again on the way back. The guide was great. Probably better to rent a car if you're wanting to enjoy the park.

The tour company was excellent. Catering for different languages and allowing enough stops along the way for breaks. The views and scenery that you will see are absolutely fascinating and stunning. The tour guides were great here as they are explaining it all to you so you know what you are looking at. Overall, this was a great tour and superb value for money. Easily recommended.

We were lucky, the cable car was cancelled all week, until our tour on Thursday. ( unfortunately this can happen anytime because of the wind for safety reasons) The bus was a bit late, but we didn't wonder about it as they needed to pick up people from a lot of places, and ours was the last pick up. So we started our tour fairly smoothly and shortly realised we have a brilliant, smiley and knowledgeable guide, Blanki and a very good, calm driver. We stopped at Vilaflor for a little coffee etc., then drove to the cable car base, then up to 3,555m. It was very well planned, everything went smoothly. Well, at 3,555m several people struggled, as it was too high for them and not enough oxygen for them, plus their body reacted badly for the air pressure differences. I was lucky, I had no any reaction, but my husband had some problems....... you never know until you are there. My advices: - Take warm clothing, it was 6 C up there. - Don't forget to put on your hat ( as I did), or put suncream on your face. - If you feel dizzy, sick or any pain ( headache, stomach problem....) which doesn't go away after a short time - take the next cable car back to the base, as your body still couldn't adjust the different circumstances up at 3,555 m. Personally we highly recommend this tour via Volcano Teide Experience.

2 star only for the tour guide Juan. He was very good and knowledgeable but the tour operator is cheat and deceiving. First they make you miss your breakfast and ask you to reach pick up point at 08:15 and then the bus will come at around 08:40. Secondly, once boarded you will get to know that the cable car is not operational , no prior notice or communication . Third, they will not give you refund that your deserve and they never gave you breakup of cost and now on their own discretion will process refund. DONā€™T BOOK if you value your time and money.

This trip was well worth doing - canā€™t believe Iā€™ve been to Tenerife so many times before and not done it. Coach pick-up from hotel and then you go on an amazing drive up in the hills until you reach the cable car base station, stopping for a coffee/snack on the way. The views are awesome and you really canā€™t believe how high up you go until you are above the clouds! You are packed in on the cable car - only 2 seats available - but it only takes 8 minutes to top. There is a viewing platform and you can take a couple of different walkways to other viewing points, but beware this is across volcanic rock so is not flat and some rocks move so good sturdy walking shoes are essential. The air is thinner up there so you may not have the energy to walk far if you have breathing problems but can still view from the cable car station. There is a loo at the top but nothing else, the cafe is at the bottom after you get off cable car. If you want to climb to the crater edge you have to apply for a permit at least 3 months in advance, but it is a steep climb. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
