    We loved this experience. It was the last thing we did in London before flying home. What a great way to end the trip. Unlimited tea and other beverages to purchase. No need for dinner, as there was plenty of finger foods to accompany the tea. I highly recommend the Tea on the Thames!

    A 60th birthday treat for my sister who loved it. First time she’d had a proper full afternoon tea. Amazing.

    This is the worst example of a tourist rip off - I’m not a tourist but my three friends are not local, two UK and one from Canada and this was a bit of a reunion. All good until we were seated - no smiles and no engagement from waiting staff. Tea - in a pot with not hot enough water, had to ask for milk. The food arrived and was truly the worst afternoon tea ever. Sandwich fingers ( 4 of, small) had obviously been made well in advance - bread not super fresh and dry. The fillings were meagre and how they managed to ruin smoked salmon I do not know - thin, tasteless, dry, not enough cream cheese to even register - cucumber would have helped though would have wilted by the time we had them. All tasteless and lacking. Sweet stuff - barring the little lemon tart all way too sweet and hard. The scones… not recently out of the oven and the advertised ‘clotted cream’ was nothing like, it wasn’t even whipped double, it was frothy aerosol cream smoothed into a pot. More tea? They simply poured more not boiling water on to the used teabag - unbelievable. One of us asked for a box for the spare scone and cake - ‘no, we don’t have any’. Seriously???? Now, the actual cruise…. Announcement along the lines of - we don’t have a guide and don’t think people like recorded guides so, um, I’ll just mention some things. The ‘things’ were rare and no history or information. Impossible to get a shot of Parliament as we were turning. At the end we were told there was a tray on the way out for tips - surrounded by waiting staff giving their first smiles. We declined that fine opportunity but it added insult to injury. To summarise: afternoon tea on a Thames cruise which provided dreadful food and virtually no information about what we were passing. £60? Avoid this rip off at all costs - especially that one!
