Riccardo is an awesome guide! He designed the tour as an experience by walking up to each aqueduct and weaving stories around water and also Roman politics, recreation, philosophy, engineering, landscape. He made learning so fun and easy. I would highly recommend a tour with him. He was also a generous, kind person and patiently helped me understand the way to the meeting point as well as on my way back. Must do tour of an off-beat but the most remarkable Roman monuments!

Guiseppe was absolutely the best. He is an amateur archeologist but knows so much about the archeology of Rome: the types of stones, everything about the construction and destruction of the aqueducts. On our walk we saw a section of the ancient Roman Applance Way, walked upon by the ancients 2000 years ago. He showed us pieces of ancient Roman columns and buildings repurposed into a 17th century farmhouse. He is so enthusiastic and I not only enjoyed my tour immensely but enjoyed his company as well. Talk the UNESCO site is a treat to see all by itself. It's an enormous park and picnic ground with views of antiquity.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour and found the history of Rome's water infrastructure fascinating! We happened to be the only two on the tour and it was great to have our own private guide for a couple of hours. Our guide was a trained archeologist, very knowledgeable, and attentive to all our questions. It was also super pretty to watch the sun start to set behind these marvels of ancient engineering and enjoy a huge park that is a little bit outside of the bustle of central Rome. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for a Roman tour that is a little different from the typical pantheon/colossium circuit. It was also great to experience a little slice of what life is like for Rome's modern citizens in this massive park outside of the historic center!

For those looking for an amazing experience beyond the "usual," this tour is for you! Mauricio did an outstanding job teaching us all there is to know about the Roman Aqueducts. We were amazed by the beauty of these structures, but what was even more amazing was the intricate method the ancient Romans used to supply water to the population. We could not have had a better or more knowledgeable tour guide. Mauricio really went the extra mile to show us every aqueduct and explained the history to us along the way. He was kind enough to purchase an Italian snack for us-- Suppli, which was a real treat! Thank you to Mauricio for a truly unique and awesome experience and thank you to Marco for organizing it! We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to go beyond the touristy places and delve a bit deeper into Rome's fascinating history.
